Kobe Bryant's 81 point game

If your an NBA fan you know this is the second best scoring game in NBA history, only to Wilt's 100 point game. Based on your perspective you can either call him an unstoppable scoring machine, or a relentless ball hog.

(in my case... a ball hog LOL)

But that's beside the point. I made some analytic discoveries and I may have come to the realization that MAYBE, JUST MAYBE... Kobe has sold his soul to Satan.

He also scored 66% of his teams points in the game..

Columnists and sports writers are calling Kobe somewhat of a "GOD" these days and I'm saying, ... well.. he probably just sold his soul.

ON THE OTHER HAND...

Allen Iverson...Number 3... averages 33 points a game, COULD be an angel..? LOL jk.... discuss the kobe part.

Maybe when you're team is down 18 in the third quarter and you're considered the best player in the league, you should be bound to help you're team get the win anyway possible.

Ball Hog? What about the game earlier this season when he scored 62 points in three quarters? You know, and sat out the fourth because he wasnt playing for the state sheet?

Now, I'm a complete Laker nut, but it's obvious to see that Kobe tries to do everything himself most games. He's far from my favorite player on the team (George, Turiaf, and Sasha being the top 3) but everyone has got to respect him for his ability to score. NBA players say he's the best, NBA Legends say he's the best, my peers say he's the best, and I say he's the best...when it comes to scoring.

And Ace, some of your points are valid but I also have to point out the No. 2 right now in scoring, Allen Iverson. He's had the scoring title for so many years including last season. So would you say because of one game that Kobe IS the best in scoring?

Sure he probably is the best scorer......but we also have to take into consideration the defense the Raptors played on him... I mean... No where in the highlight reel of him scoring did I see a double.

In my opinion... Iverson remains the best scorer in the league... standing at 6'0 165lbs.. he contends with 5 opponents on the court each possession.... Kobe standing at 6'8 has it a little easier for himself but i'm not using that in any way to discredit his ability to score...

Allen Iverson is a fantastic basketball player, no doubt about that. To do what he does while being the size he is is remarkable, but, as of this moment, Kobe reigns supreme in the scoring department.

62 in three quarters against the Marvericks who had Howerd, Daniels, and Griffen guarding him; not bad defenders. 9 games with 40+ points in a row. 12 (or 13; I forgot) games with 35+ points in a row. 3 games with a row with 45+ points. Youngest player ever to score 10,000. Youngest player to ever score 15,000. Made 9 consecutive three pointers out of a total of 11 against Seattle.

Kobe is 6'6" btw.
