I am currently reading Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, and while it is a sophomoric, espositional sack of crap... I can't STOP READING IT. Instead, I'm enjoying it for the pulp novel that it is.

He uses very short chapters and ends almost every one with a cliffhanger that keeps the pages turning. The E.A. Poe lover in me is offended by each rudimentary sentence but the pro-wrestling loving retard in me can't get enough. I am a living Frosted Mini Wheat commercial.

This is quite a pickle.

Don't feel too bad. I know a lot of people that wouldn't touch modern literature with a ten foot pole that are semi-closeted Dan Brown readers.

It’s chicken fried steak for the intellectual’s soul.

Dan Brown rocks!

even though his books are kinda predictable once you read one. but they're interesting none-the-less...when i read a book, i don't care how the book is structured or anything like that, as long as the story itself is interesting and stuff.

i've read the da vinci code, angels and demons and deception point. i have only one more of his books to read and that's Digital Fortress.

I've read all of his books, and I agree on them being predictable, but they very hard to put down. He tells the story well.
