That first one looks oddly familar. I can't quite put my finger (or other body part for that matter) on it. Nice though. Hmm how can we have :cof: but no thumbs up smilie? Oh well. *thumbs up* and hereby declare :cof: your official smilie...much like how GameMaster claims to own the birthday one...but we all know his hold on that is like melted string cheese on an oversized spatula hanging outside a car...a fast one.

Good stuff. You're pretty young too, right? You definently show a lot of potential to get even better.

Yeah I can definitely tell you have that niche for Japanese anime style. You are a potent one indeed. The pictures you drew were really good. However for the first one or anything like that, I would put less emphasis on the eyes. The anime style does have big eyes, but those are a bit too big. Other then that... thats about it... nothing else....supposedly only thing wrong.....the one thing thats off............ LOL :beerchug:
Heres a picture I fabricated out of a picture of Naruto and his hero Yondaime (4th Hokage) from the anime NARUTO:

I took accents and elements from pictures of both of the characters and blended them. PM me sometime, MrCoffee, we can discuss design and art and anything else you wish.

Im a second year japanese student and most of the manga i read have very large eyes, yeah im influenced alot by what kind of...inspires me...like really weird things to, like um...o a movie The Perfect Man, had hilary duff in it and some other people, and yeah there was some cartoons and stuff that looked cool, then i sit down and draw the exact opposite, but yeah more like a hobby, my goal is to be . . . something to do with computers programmer/technician or something. If you want you can visit the Yale Anime Club Website (http://kirby.ki.funpic.org/yac/portal.php) Best club ever...we sit there and watch R rated anime... :p

I used to be really into anime when twas your age (man I feel old now). I guess the newer stuff just doesn't appeal to me now. Took Japanese for three years in high school...was cool hearing things I previous learned in class in the anime I would watch.

Anime style drawing is not that bad since they seem to capture human proportions correctly (except the thing with the gigantic breasts, etc). But anime faces can distort your way of viewing the face when you have to draw it.
drawing is fun. :]

First drawing I've made in years. I wasn't going for that eye thingy, it came naturally. It's also the first drawing in 9 years that I've colored.
And yes, I now notice that her left eye is too big and out of place.

Leonardo in human form! Is that watercolor? Pretty good, especially for being your first thing in years. To keep the features in place I've found it extremely helpful to look at your drawing in a mirror every so often. Your mistakes will become immediately apparent.

Yeah it's watercolor, 'aquarel' in Dutch.
I tried looking at it upside down etc, but I just didn't notice the weird eye. That came after I took a picture of it.
And I'm terrible with hair.
Thanks for the compliment. :)
