View Full Version : May have to upgrade

You've probably noticed things are starting to fall apart around here. I can't isolate the problem since we have a myriad of custom templates. We may have to upgrade to vB 3.5.2 which is no small undertaking. All the hacks will go bye bye as well as your doubloons. I may be able to recover them but no guarantees. I recommend making note of how many you have NOW in case we have to reset them manually. If you want to know how much this upgrade process is going to suck then picture yourself sucking on two giant, sweaty goat testicles.

Well, I guess not visiting often has saved me the trouble of worrying about the crisis. Way to go vbulletin god.

most likely it was a problem in the SQL tables.... lol hence "Fixing the tables" message I got earlier. SQL can be a bitch when it wants too.

Like Neo said, it was only a Javascript problem. It had nothing to do with the SQL; the header was just performing something wonky.

Besides, if something goes wrong on the SQL side, you can usually just call for support. You should rarely have trouble with it since vBulletin is coded so well.

We used to encounter SQL database errors all the time with vB 2. At one point I felt like I was having to repair it every other day. Now we hardly have any problems at all with it.

Thank god for Jelsoft evolving with time. :D

And when I had a VB2 back in the day I never had SQL problems. And I hacked it a lot.

I'm sure glad we were able to untangle this mess!
