As you can see I tracked this back a whiles but it all seems to go back to Dengeki (http://www.dengekionline.com/) which I have yet been able to find on their site (http://www.dengekionline.com/).

Thus, according to gamemag.ru, who is citing Inside Gamer, is seems that Nintendo Revolution’s configuration is complete and the device is ready for mass production. And since the release date for the Revolution is in May, that gives the Japanese manufacturers 5 months in order to manufacture enough consoles.

I highly doubt it... developers have been grumbling for awhile that most of them do not even have spec sheets and SDK's....so how can it go into mass production and give developers 5 months to develop it's launch lineup... not to mention a good one.

Didn't Iwata, at one point, say he wanted to release ahead of the PS3? Or am I just mixing my memories up.

I think he did mention they didnt want to "be last" this time around

and Sony, Nintendo could have put the company's under "secret NDA's" and could have been making games for Rev for months now.

But having 5 months to mass produce this should help alot in making sure the product is available enough. Hopefully Sony the company is gonna be starting to mass produce the PS3 soon since the innards are basically complete anyways. Video card is just a modified 7800GTX, processor..hell if I know, I'll say it is and Blu-Ray dvd players are out in Japan so they can fit a cheaper version into the PS3

Poor New York.

I remember going to a Fred Meyer in New York to play N64 for the first time, and its stick was absolutely massacred. However system kiosques up here are fine; save for the DS which people found ways to scratch.
