Consumed by bloodlust and tormented by her new identity, she transforms into BloodRayne and feeds on the blood of vampires, refusing to take the lives of innocents...

Personally, I think this bloodrayne, looks a little too old.

I recently saw a commercial for this. It looks AWFUL.

It's directed by Uwe Boll (House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark)...

Does anybody expect it to be good?

Most cyber film critics are giving this the thumbs up. Definitely will have to see it.

Who keeps giving Uwe Boll money to make films? And where can I find this guy so that he can give me some?

I saw a poster for this movie as I was walking along in the theater to go see Narnia (I'll post on that in just a bit). Good grief, this movie is actually going mainstream.

And to answer your question, Strangler, I have read on GameSpot that Uwe Boll finances his movies under a loophole in German tax law that actually rewards movies that perform badly. So maybe he's actually really smart and talented in that he is able to make consistently abysmal movies that tank at the box office. He's a real life Max Bialystock.

Maybe what we should do is send people out in droves to see Bloodrayne so that it actually does decently and Uwe Boll doesn't get as much money as he was looking to make...but that would be rather cruel.

Besides, it seems that loophole is going to be closed for the next fiscal year.

"Boll earned a doctorate in literature from the University of Cologne in 1995"

Indeed, I believe he is some sort of evil genius...

I see the commercials and for some reason, no matter how much I see it, it always seems like a commercial for a low budget TV movie, not even.. more like an afterschool special to be honest.

I probably won't be paying to see this...

I'm actually starting to think this movie will be so bad that it's good.

I just want to know how the hell he convinced Ben friggin' Kingsley to do this sack of crap. Out of all the vampire movies that needed a great actor to play the heavy, this is not the one I would have selected to achieve that goal.
