Well I absolutley loved The Sands of Time, truely one of the best Cube games. Then Ubisoft crapped all over their great game with Warrior Within, an absolute joke compared to the original. I lost all respect for them. For this reason I wasnt really following the Two Thrones, but its been reviewd by IGN and behold! Tis more like Sands of time and less like Warrior Within! Im am now interested again.

Did you play either of the other two?

I'm interested in this one. I play both of the other ones. I prefered the first one over the second. I loved the platforming, but not so much the fighting.

Exactly. They took the fighting way overboard in the second. That and the entire style was just so mainstream craptastic, it was a disgrace to the original, in all honesty.

Totally agree. It probably wouldn't have sold as well if the first one was as great as it was.

Apparently in the new one they are trying to focus on each equally.

yeah, sands of time and warrior within, I would have to agree with you 2, even though it took me about 5 months to beat it.

Somehow The Sands of Time never drove me to play on. I could put that game away for weeks and then play a few hours again. But the ending was just fabulous. One of the best game endings.
Well, at least for what you expect.

Yea, the ending was perfect. It couldve ended with that one game, no sequals, and it wouldve gone down as the stuff of legends.

So has anyone played this game yet? I'm quite a ways through it, and I must say it definitely feels like a return to form. I think I still prefer Sands of Time, but this game is definitely a close second and sh*ts all over Warrior Within.

Unfortunately, however, I'm at a boss right now which has got to be one of the most annoying and horribly designed boss battles ever. Literally 40 times I've attempted to beat it and still haven't won, all thanks to the game's poor battle system which is still pretty sloppy after 3 games.

I should be getting it for Christmas. Yea, the fighting was never all that great, seemed kinda buggy, especially in Warrior Within.

****IF YOU DON'T WANT A SPOILER, JUST SKIP THIS WHOLE POST****

Is that the one with the axe and sword guys? Yeah, I hated that one. I ended up with only one sand tank when I got there, too.

Yes, that boss was horrible, and when I got there I had no sand tanks. Piss me off proper, it did.

On another note, I finished the game. Pretty darn short if I do reckon so, but that's what you come to expect from games of this nature. Good wrap up of the "trilogy" (the franchise will continue in some way on the next gen systems), though I still think Sands of the Time is the bestest.

Ive been playing this one, and im really enjoying it a lot more than Warrior Within. Its still no Sands of time, but its a definate improvement. To be honest though, it wouldnt bother me if they made the next one basically all platforming and just did away with the fighting entirely. It just slows down the awsome platforming.

I would, but im guessing your farther along in the game than I am. I actually couldnt tell you how far into it I am, I know I beat that first boss awhile back, and now im doing various things with the faraoe...so if your stuck before this point I could try to help.

okay, so I just beat the 1st boss last night after bout 20 tries {I suck at speed kills}. Me and the faroe lady are teamed up, we see the Vizier and shes like WHATS THAT and the prince tells her, and the Vizier goes into a temple and they have to find a way to get in, and I get in, do some jumping and climbing, and then comes to those stupid ass sand stealing dog things, I cant kill these things worth a crap.

But if this confuses you, I could take a pic and show you guys where i'm at.

EDIT: this is what they are Hunting Hounds (http://www.princeofpersiagame.com/us/index.php)

Err...unfortunately, I don't see what's so tricky about killing the sand hounds. Maybe you're over-thinking the fight. They can't be speed-killed, so don't even worry about it. Just slash them repeatedly and then make sure you stab them when they get knocked down.

Of course, you also don't have to fight them.

When I find myself low on health in a battle, I often hold R to block, get near a wall, then double tap the b button to do one of those wall attacks. They usually work pretty well, can sometimes even hit 2 enemies at once.
