Well it seems that HAL, the original developers behind Super Smash Bros and Smash Bros Melee will not be handling the Revolution sequel.
Though it won't be completely from a new staff as the original director as well as several core members of the team will be part of the development stuido. Apparently Nintendo has created a whole new studio to create Smash Bros Rev or atleast a new setting for them.

Yea, I found this interesting. Im not sure my stance on it, really. Its a little suprising that they just now started development this recently...will it be ready for launch?
Anyways, this whole new development studio thing has worked before...Retro studios comes to mind. Many thought Nintendo was just crazy for not developing it in-house, then they saw the first person view and people flipped out even more. And with good reason. Metroid in first person still sounds somewhat wrong. But then Retro came through like nobodys business, and created the best game on the Gamecube...
End Ratro studios love rant :D
I was wondering about that today. I asked myself, where did Kirby GCN go? I'm very sure I heard of a Crystal Shards sequel, but I concluded that Nintendo probably made them switch to Revolution immediately.

I would be all over Kirby for rev. Full 3D would work now that you can be precise where you suck and who you blow.

My opinion; if it's not broke, don't fix it.

You keep amazing me GM. Very... unexpected... :D
I really really hope that they won't just implement Rev control to SSB:M and add a few characters and levels. That would be very easy.... but Nintendo's not crazy.
right? :(
I was talking with my friends the other day, and we agree it would be pretty neat to actually use the controller to do the smashing.
