Do people go away on Vacation a lot during American Thanksgiving? My brother is going to the Bahamas, and hoping to pick up some sleazy, rich, American girls.

Just a standard/usual dinner with Mom's side of family (dads side is a 2 hour drive that I cant make every year)

driving 8 hours down to arkansas to eat Thanksgiving dinner with my mom's side of the family. My mom and sister have to work on Thanksgiving day so we won't be eating until the day after... which means we will have gotten up at the crack of dawn to go shopping then come home and cook and eat. I may watch the football game since I used to be a Denver Broncos fan and my grandfather was a Dallas Cowboys fan when he was alive.

On my Thanksgiving I had an essay to finish. That wasn't fun.

I barely remember my Thanksgivings, it was so long ago.

What I remember, is my best friend spent the night, because me and her were drinking at my house the night before. But we spent Thanksgivings day together, and our Thanksgivings Day dinner consisted of fried perogies, and home made whipped cream for dessert.

Going home probably on Tuesday and eating with my Mom and 13 other friends/relatives. It's always a relaxing and fun time, and most importantly a great meal.

Thursday din with family. Thursday night / Friday morning probably waiting outside some store with a bud of mine for something could easily get walking in later. Last year I almost lost my toes waiting outside CompUSA for a video card no one wanted. Everyone was there for the better one. Couldn't feel anything below my knees for 2 hours afterwards. Was fun though.

I'm going to my grandma's for half of the day. I'm going to eat, get my birthday presents from my aunt (she's the only relative who chose to wait till it was a bit closer to my birthday to get me a present, which is fine with me) and leave for work.

Yeah, I work on Thanksgiving.. Stupid movie theatre...

Did your mom have the baby yet? You haven't told us about your new baby sibling?

Link's post reminded me... I might be getting some birthday presents over thanksgiving break. That is how we usually do it since I can't actually spend my birthday with my family.

No. They didn't originally try. Just happened.

My brother is coming back from college and my dad is coming down from Sacramento and we're all going to eat a nice Big Turkey before going off to our rooms.

I love Thanksgiving :)

sounds nearly identical to what me and my family do on thanksgiving, after we sit down to eat a ginormous feast, we all go to other parts of the house.
