Perfect Dark Zero looked rock solid, with good co-op, single-player action, and unwavering multiplayer modes. It's not the killer app that Halo is, nor is there much next-generation stuff about it, but that's OK. Rare's FPS has legs, it's pretty, and the Rare fans will be happy. In all honesty, Perfect Dark Zero is a game people will love or hate.

Eh, it didn't really need to be in the Meatgrinder.
I admit I'm interested in it but I just don't think it'll have the polish rare's previous works had.

I'd say this is the final nail in the coffin for Rare.
But we'll always have Diddy Kong Racing. Oh airplane races, how I loved thee.

Yes, it was even better than Mario Kart 64.
Oh yes, I just opened that can of worms.

They were different kinds of games. Both were good.
And I took the bait. :D

I'll open up a bigger can of worms, they both sucked... Diddy Kong Racing moreso than Mario Kart... :>

No they arent.
They are both Nintendo based racing games.
But I liked Diddy Kong Racing because you could fly.
And the track with that Star Wars-y part.
You didn't forget the "or love" part by accident, did you?

I hate it when they say you'll either love it or hate it. Why is there never any middle ground? Why can't I be indifferent?

What I really want to know is what's to hate about Perfect Dark: Zero. It's clichéd, the graphics aren't so great and Joanna sounds like she's from Minnesota. But those are all reasons to think that it's merely a good game instead of great. It will undoubtedly still have a solid multiplayer mode with lots of maps, lots of customization and bots (the latter two of which Halo never had).
What's to hate about it?
If you want to see a love it or hate it game, go play Killer 7.

I found a great multiplayer experience in Farcry Instincts for Xbox....

This game is looking better than Timesplitters 2 to me... and I enjoyed that game a lot. (I'm a multi player bot wars whore though, and <3 Co-op :p) So I'm pretty sure I will like this game. As for polish... I don't think goldeneye or PD for N64 were really that polished of games in the first place. Tons of glitches, frame rate issues etc.
