Sweet, I've been wanting to see this movie for quite some time now.
17 years to be exact.

I like Tim Burton, like, because Hot Topic sells his merchandise...

Not a big fan of Nightmare Before Christmas, so I don't think I'd watch this.

This is Halloween, this is Halloween. Halloween Halloween Halloween Halloween! In this town, don't we love it now? Everybody's waiting for the next surprise. Ah, used to know all the lyrics. Hope this movie is as good.
Though because Hot Topic sells related merchandise I have to force myself not to like it anymore. Sad cruel twist of fate.

I'm quite excited to see this, regardless of it being a cash cow for Hot Topic.

My opinion
on Tim Burton's film Nightmare Before Christmas:
when it came out I really liked it. I was a teenager then. I watched it again recently. Couldn't even make it through half of it. It was awful. The animation is still pretty cool but the plot is rediculous. The plot was barely there and it was badly done.
on the recent installment of Tim Burton's:
I will probably never see it. The only way I would see it is if the people i'm with want to watch it and I don't have to spend any money, and I can't convince them otherwise.

I'm going to go see it. Tim Burton has such a great art style, and I enjoy most of his movies.
Mars Attacks sucked. It's unbelievably bad when you consider Tim Burton directed, and it has like 500 movie stars in it.

Well he also directed Monkey Bone, so he can make a very bad movie when he wants to. I also did not like Batman Returns, and made sure to have repeated viewings.
Corpse Bride is now at 89%, and the one bad review has the same criticism of most Burton films that I do. Great style with little substance.
With that said, I loved Big Fish, even though I'll never see it again. The first time I saw it I cried like a beaten child. I mean it was a crazy, out of control, blubbering wildly cry. I had to immediately drink a fifth of Wild Turkey just to get some of my masculinity back.
Speaking of which, I still haven't seen the Nightmare before Christmas.
Hah. This must be rectified. (Along with pulp fiction, Dylflon.)

Nope, that was a fella by the name of Henry Selick... Burton had nothing to do with that film...
Selick is the one who actually directed The Nightmare Before Christmas though, Tim Burton just wrote the story and such...
However Tim Burton directed Corpse Bride himself... *nod*
Good ol' IMDB, making me sound like I know everything when I havn't a clue...
I have seen a number of his movies though, and with the exception of Planet of the Apes I thought they were all very decent...
Monkey Bone? Burton can do weird, but not THAT weird.

I thought Big Fish was average. It's visuals were fun but I think the sentimental stuff was hokey and didn't move me much at all. I usually like Burton, but haven't been impressed with his work recently.

I was really disappointed with this movie. Thought it was going to be a lot better. The animation is good but the story was merely "meh" and the songs (if you can call them that) were utterly horrible.

Oh! That must mean I'll like it! The only thing we've, like, ever agreed upon in terms of stuff we like is .hack//SIGN... Like, forever ago.
Not that you care... I just... thought I'd...share...
