in a couple weeks, a producer for MTV is coming into our video production class so that we may propose ideas for a new television show on MTV. If you were to propose a new idea for an MTV show, what would be a good idea to you?

An idea will be chosen and given to his superiors, if that is chosen, I may get a chance to be a producer for the new show. so lets come up with a winning idea, and I'll tell you what happens!

A show that follows Reggie Fils Anime, and documents his daily life, including kicking ass and taking names.

No seirously, tell them to actually play music on their TV station.

What about a show where they go around and through bricks from a car at things? Put some trendy new music or something like that an have them act EXTREME!!!!!!!!!!

Then you, my friend, know nothing of corporations, and marketing.

You want less Pokemon? BAM! New pokemon shows and movies, and spin-offs.

You want less Survivor-like shows? BAM! They pop up like herpes on a hooker.

You want less reality TV because thats all TV really is now? BAM! Every show will now have an elimination thing in it to make it reality, to try and boost ratings because nothing wants to be different.

EDIT: Wait...this is an idea for a show on MTV? How about one that actually plays music?

Have there been fake reality shows satirizing the genre? I just know of Drawn Together. Don't actually watch TV (aside from Lost and JLU) so I'm clueless as to what's been done. Didn't MTV used to have a whole bunch of toons like Aeon Flux? Hmm, an inspection of their tv schedule at their website has brought on some dry heaving. Anything you could pitch them would be better.

I believe another was The Joe Schmo Show.

They should give an unfunny fat kid who has no talent his own stupid show...

Oh wait...

Yeah... I love reality TV, because putting normal people in exotic locations and/or abnormal situations is SO normal. If that isn't promoting a sense of "reality" then I don't know what does.

Youd be flat out lying if you said youve never laughed at that show. I dont like admiting it, but I do find myself watching that kid and laughing.

How about the hit spin off of "Pimp My Ride"

Ride My Pimp, where random prostitutes found on the streets pay big fat people to ride the pimp until he breaks his back. Give it a Mountain Dew sponsor and you've got reality TV gold.

You know, that "kid" is actually 30 years old? MTV just doesn't want you to know that because it becomes more depressing than funny if it's not a kid...

Tell them to bring back the funniest sketch comedy show of all time...

THE STATE

Also, I find the fat kid to be quite amusing, expecially late at night. If you want to find a show that truly sucks, you need look no further than Nick Cannon's Wild n' Out. That is the universal nexus of suck.

I'd like a show where twelve strong men compete to become the body guard of a famous celebrity.

The show im talking about is The Andy Milonakis show. And ive also hear that that kid is 30 years old, although I dont see how that would be possible...

Is that the kid that Jimmy Kimmel got started?

Because it sort of looks like him....

And if it is the same kid, he isn't 30..

Yeah, well, if they can't bring it back at least get the sons of bitches at MTV to put the DVDs out. That's still the one thing that pisses me off.

However, I've gotten my State fix by watching Reno 911 and Stella, but especially Stella. They are the funniest men in America.
