Went to the firing range. They were firing off 150 fully auto weapons and some other big guns including 50 cals

here I'm firing a m60, and an m16... the "other guy" is ronnie, he didn't take a picture of me shooting the m60, but it was fully cool...

they also blew up an osama dummy with dynamite and shot cars to freaking death... video to follow.

I was at my friend's house last weekend and he pulled out his guns. It freaked me out. It wasn't really bad, he was just holding them. But then he pulled another one out and said it was loaded. Not a fun experience.

Did he point them at you?

You guys sure taught those cars a lesson. Were the cars in working condition anymore? I'm not sure why exactly, but you look great holding that gun.

I made a lego tank today, complete with a 4 man crew that actually fit inside the tank.

Lego never gets old.

I haven't fired a weapon in quite some time, and I think the last one I did fire was a flintliock musket (not a rifle, as it was smoothbore). Horribly inaccurate as the were meant to be fired en masse into a line of enemies, but I couldn't help feeling like a Dwarven Hunter from WoW.

I'm not a fan of most automatic weapons. They tend to waste ammo and have a vicious kick to them.

Give me a circa-WW2 M-1 Carbine any day over an M-16. Reliable, accurate at medium-long range and has serious knock-down power. I've seen what those slugs do to metal and wood, and I imagine getting hit with one would be like getting hit by a tiny Mack truck.

I remembering going to the gun range here with my scout group and being absolutely petrified of being shot. But I had a great time and I shot a whole different range of guns. Rifles and pistols mostly, nothing automatic. Sigh.

the last part of the video, you can hear a gatling/mini gun.. that thing was wicked

120 bux worth of ammo lasts you about 3-4 seconds

looked just like this:

whenever someone would shoot it, the rounds would be ALL over the place

The M1 Garand was far better. it had 30.06 caliber rounds semi automatic and very accurate. I was under the inmpression that the carbine was under powered and a half way point between a pistol and a rifle. I did some googling and came up with this

Despite its convenience, many soldiers never liked the carbine and it had a reputation as underpowered and mechanically tempremental, not to mention inaccurate beyond about 150 yards. Nonetheless, the Carbine proved an effective light weight weapon that was frequently carried for protection as something between a pistol and a full rifle.

All I know is that I cut a 9 (give or [IMG]take) inch diameter tree down at 50 yards with a 10 bullet clip. If thats underpowered, then I'm Oprah Winfrey. Maybe compared to other arms it is, but from my experience the Carbine is the overall best firearm I've used, even though it does kick like a mule. Then again I've never fired a Garand, so you might very well be correct.
