Well, I have two old-wave Nes's that still work, takes a little while to get em going, but they are all right. Plus I have a new-wave NES that works everytime.(It's just the games that need some work)

When we bought it third-handed it didn't really work fine... now we can't play at all.

Did you take it apart to clean it???

I should have have said "I had to get it cleaned" because I myself didn't clean it. We shipped it to Nintendo and they did it.

Well I had some problems getting games to work on my NES. What I did was take Q-Tips and some tape-head cleaner and cleaned some of the dirt out of it. Now it works fine, no problems at all. Oh and don't do it over the 'Nintendo' letters because it smudges them .

Note: Ridley will not be held accountable for any damage caused by attempting this. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Mine's screwed up... it has the "blinking problem", which happens when the 72 pin connector thing gets a bit screwed up and can't hold the games tight enough, and therefore can't read them, so it acts like there is no game in the system (by blinking green and black) when there is, and it just can't read it...

it blows...

I think that Nintendo should release the NES and sell it for like $50. This way we can play all of our old favourite games. Oh wait! They already did something like that! Its called the GBA. Damn ports, and Nintendo making money off of old games.

I could buy another used one... :(

Perhaps I can clean it. I fixed our N64!

i don't have an nes, but my super nes works just fine other than the fact that on one of my controllers the start button fell out, and my other controller is half melted becuz i left it near the furnace 2 long

I used to take apart my NES controllers all the time to clean them.

I have 4 SNES controllers, and each one of them rattled. The wire inside put too much pressure on the plastic guide post and snapped it off.

I screw open my NES, but I couldn't find anything that I could fix.
It's like something gets to hot and makes the video output go weird. :(
