matter of fact, nintendo is making a holiday version of nintendogs too... that might have more items.

Nope. All three have a different set of dogs.

All 3 versions have DIFFERENT dogs you start off with but the ability to unlock all of them later in the game through various methods

I always thought if a store miss priced something (lower than the actual price of course) they still had to sell it to you at that price? Must be a store-specific thing though.

Online stores cover their asses and mention "No price is guaranteed" or something similar in the small print. One time a site had a gig of Kingston HyperX ram Dual channel(the decent kind) for $30. I ordered it and before it could be shipped next morning since it was ordered at like midnight, they cancelled it :p But sometimes if your lucky, they will not notice it in time and when item ships, they are S.O.L
