This is insane. Yo would think Microsoft has the monopoly on the industry by looking at those prices. I'm nearly speechless.

Is it wrong that I feel "betrayed"?

Also, the $100 price tag for a wireless adaptor is insane. If it has some screwed up connector that makes it so you cant use regular wireless adaptors, MS is seriously trying to milk the money they are losing.

Unofrtunately, I expect people to buy these all too much because of the Xbox name.

here's the best part: from the xbox.com site

Why doesn't the Core System come with HDTV cables standard? I thought this was the HD generation?
Not everyone has a high-definition (HD) TV yet. And those people shouldn't have to pay for it until they're ready. Once they do get an HDTV, then they can purchase the appropriate cable as an accessory.

cheap mother ****ers! they force developers to make everything HD (losing good framerates, and sucking up disk space etc) and they dont include HD cables!??!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????!????????!?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

$50 wireless controllers! :eyes:

And $12 battery packs for the wireless controllers. Which is still a more efficient use of your money than buying a bunch of AA batteries.

normal price for a 200 GB HD = $100
Microsofts price for a 20 GB HD = $100
Profit = 10x normal price.

Smile on Bill Gates face as people actually pay it.... Priceless.
