I don't own an HDTV but I do have a flat screen tv. I would say i'm doing well for a college student.

Yes, a 53inch Panasonic rear-projection TV. Sadly, we're not currently signed up for HDTV.

We also have a 31'' Philips in the front room, and my parents have a 30'' Samsung. All tubes. These 3 combined were purchased for less than $2,000. Further proof that HDTV is NOT out of the price range of the average American. Even further proof of how backwards and short sighted Nintendo is.
