OMG! Where is PSP Firmware 2.0???

You should see the PSP message boards...

While there was no specific hour, Sony did say it was to be released August 12. Most people were expecting a midnight release and now it's 11:35 A.M. Pacific and there is still no sign of an update.

who cares? install the japanese release (which is the exact same thing) then install the US release over it whenever it comes out.

Where would somebody find the Japanese release? Would it ruin the person's North America PSP? Is the Japanese upgrade in English characters? When the North American version is released, will the person with the Japanese firmware be able to upgrade to the North American software?

pretty sure its exactly the same, would be VERY nice to have flash and java support tho. but i kinda doubt it.

and theres been websites with the link to the update since it came out. i think Kyuzo said he just went to network update on his US psp and it was there.

its fully english supported there are no side effects and you can just update it to the US version 2.0 when it comes out anyway. (which will be around the 15th i thought i read earlier)
