Long but interesting... I might get this guy's book. Anything that points to new physics is a-okay.

There are four fundamental forces: gravitation, electromagnetism, strong and weak nuclear forces. The only one that can affect time is gravity, which is what Einstein showed. However it's every physicist's dream to find a theory unifying all the forces. Weinberg successfully combined electromagnetism and the weak force to form the electro-weak theory. Got a nobel prize for his efforts. If it can be shown how gravity is linked to electromagnetism then maybe there is something to this time tunnel stuff?

pfffft. Everyone knows time travel is impossible.

Well, the string theory seems to be the one theory to rule them all. It's dubbed the 'TOE' (theory of everything) and seems to have the potential of unifying all the forces.

Read a book called 'The Elegant Universe', it's amazing and explains the string theory in such a brilliant way.

Yeah I've read that one. Brian Greene has another book which is supposed to be good too.
But IMO loop quantum gravity is superior to string theory. It includes the quantization of spacetime which is like, cool and stuff.

:uhh:

care to explain that slightly better than the website please?

also....explain what "quantization" means :p
