Its gonna be the N64 days all over again. $60 for games... (on N64 at least :p )

they're just trying to cover thier ass's, they hear rumors that the games will be 60 so they dont want to put em at 50 and lose out.


games arent going to go up. and if MS starts selling them at the higher price before PS3 launches, its going to hurt them, (even if sony has to sell em at the same price, sony would keep thier mouth shut on it, and let people get all upset about it on xbox and wait for ps3)


but jonbo's right, N64 all over again, huge rumors that prices will go up, and then when it comes out, prices are normal.

Stores always do this with games for new consoles...

Nothing's ever confirmed, so they price the games a tad high just incase...

Since credit cards aren't charged until the stuff ships, they can change it and charge the appropriate amount, and it sounds better to be like "These games are actually gonna cost 10 bucks less than we said!" as opposed to "Actually you owe us more money"...
