Nintendo will launch a multi-million dollar campaign kicking off the company's focus on taking the Nintendo DS online with a film-style teaser trailer hitting movie theaters this weekend.

Yea, that was interesting...at first I expected him to whip out a DS and start playing, suppousedly online, which wouldve been impossible considering he was in the middle of nowhere. Thankfully, that didnt happen.

is this Nintendo thinking outside of the box now?

I seriously hated it when Xbox resorted to theatre ads....... now Nintendo follows?

I'm glad they are starting to look alive... but I just don't think game ads belong in theatres.

Sony better stay away from the theatres with their Playstation franchise.

I think Metroid Prime had some kind of theater ad.

And that ad was nice. But why "touching is nice"? Has it been this way since the beginning?

Yeah, that has been the campaign slogan for DS because of it's touch screen.

Wind Waker had one also... and Halo 2, I honestly dont remember a Sony game ad in theaters.

There was a playstation 2 ad. It was that confucious one where he takes about Ratchet & Clank, Jak and Daxter and some other game.

KoToR had some theater ads a couple of months before it released.

It was great because eveyone assumed it was for episode III, only to have a video game commercial crammed in their faces.
