the four Harry Potter books were very well written, and fun to read. I don't know about the games, however.

Is it more of a disgrace than Teletubbies?

No way, it's not nearly that bad. The books were well-written juveniles, nothing more, (I enjoyed them) but every game thus far has sucked. IGn, however, says that the GC one is set to buck that trend. However, it's IGN, an organization I am liking less and less with all their stupid INSIDER LOCKOUTS! Ahem.

I actually want to see the movie, but I'm in the middle of the Lord of the Rings so I doubt I have the time for the books. Besides, I've never been a big fan of cutesy stuff in books. I like my humor in the way of biting satire.
You guys should check out Graig Shaw Gardener's series, The Balllad of Wuntvor, its VERY good and quite funny as it basically skewers the fantasy novel genre and fairy tails PERFECTLY.
PS- Before anyone starts screaming "Thats a Shrek (mediocre movie) ripoff, please be aware that the entire Wuntvor series came out well before Shrek did as a book or movie.
As for IGN, I am an Insider member, and I have to say its worth every penny. I was hesitant at first too, but once I joined I was VERY happy. It doesn't cost very much and you get more and better info, pics, and movies from them than any other site out there. Plus they have a better relationship with most developers and publishers than any other site also. Give it a month, and you'll wonder how you ever lived without it.

Stephen Kings books and lord of the rings were much better books in my opinion
