Saw the trailer at the war of the worlds movie... Holy crap.. Can this be as good as LotR?

I think it will be. (more kiddy, but more fun!)

anyone else see this?

I've seen it loads of times with various movies; the first being Star Wars. I'm so excited! I love the books! And it looks really good!

I'm all a flutter!

I haven't read the books since like 4th grade....but still, I'll probably end up going to see it. It does look sweet.

I also saw it when I went to see Star Wars. The funny thing was after the trailer one of my friends shouted out " LESS NAR MORE STAR!"

When I saw it at the midnight premier, nearly everybody was cheering and stuff after the preview for Narnia. Then one guy shouted, "I've seen better."

It was funny...

The previews before Starwars where nuts....they went on for like 20 minutes. I hate previews so much, but I love them at the same time. I mean, some of them are good, but the commercials for jeans and stuff they have now..those are just annoying.

You know, I never seen commercials during the actual previews. I mean, they play them before the movie starts, but that's always during the time when people would stilll be getting into theatre.

Example: The movie starts at 6:00. Starting at 5:40, the theatre plays commercials until 6:00 where the previews begin, and then the movie.

I personally find commercials more entertaining than those still, Powerpoint ads that used to shown.

At all my theaters, commercials are played when the movie starts. You'll go to an 8:00 showing, and you'll see ads for Coke, Playstation 2, and Jeans. The Playstation 2 ads are hilarious, because all the games look like crap blown up on the huge movie screen with the set resolution. And the Jeans and Coke commercials are so dumb...they often last for a minute or two, and they take themselves way to seriously. Lately, I keep seeing ads for Fandango too, but I don't mind those as much because www.fandango.com is actually a resourceful website.

So, after 5-10 minutes of commercials, I get to see previews. Usually, I can get by walking into an 8:00 showing at 8:15. Especially once the movie has lost momentum and seating isn't a big issue.
