Still haven't beaten that game. Got to that one stupid fish boss thing that you fight under water. Not only is he a pain in the ass, but the last possible time you can save before fighting is ridiculously far off. Fought him twice, got sick of doing that entire segment over again just to reach him, and I haven't played it since.
It's a shame, cause the game was quite fun and I'd like to beat it. But everytime I think about turning it back on, I remember the boring tedium of getting through that area, and instantly decide against it.

pffft...you think that was boring and tedius? Wait until you see what they make you collect at the end......

I still haven't found the other two keys to the first dark world temple-like area. It seems whenever I try to play, I end up wandering aimlessly for 15 minutes and then give up.

Sweet Jesus those nine keys totally sucked. I finally managed to beat this game today, and besides those keys and a few bosses, it was great. Doesn't touch Prime 1 though.

I think 3 times, before I realized I was doing him more damage than he was doing me. So the next try I didn't even dodge his attacks, I just stood my ground and fed him super missiles. One minute later he was dead. :)
The boost ball guardian was annoying, I died once or twice. But it felt very good when I finally got him.
At the moment I'm in the Sky Sanctuary. It's a good game, but I have one big complaint. They expect you to backtrack so many illogical things. Sometimes you have to go back to an area that you've already explored, to get 1 item before you can progress again in the new area you're in. Like with the power bomb that I just got.
I think I might have to delay playing MP3, because after MP2 I think I will have had enough Metroid for a few months.

Bit of an old thread don't you think?

Yes it is old, but it was the newest one I could find that was specifically about Metroid Prime 2.

If you're selling two copies of Metroid for $20, could I buy just one for $10?

Yay, I beat the game today! :D
I don't know what the whining about the last 9 keys was about. They give you very clear clues as where to find them, I just walked to them in one run, it cost me about 2 hours and I got a lot of extra crap (3 health tanks, 5x5 missiles, 4 powerbombs).
The final boss was annoying. In the first phase, the boss' tentacles are way too high in the air and the room is too small. You have to manually aim upwards before you can target the tentacles. Second phase was annoying, but like the third a bit too easy, didn't die once there. The 'final phase' (spoilerfree, you know what I mean) was cool, although it took me one death to figure it out.
Man, they really made Samus' face ugly in MP2.
Oh, in a week I'll be playing MP3. :)
