Yesterday my dad took me on set for Final Destination 3 to meet the director of photography. It turned out that the locations crew was short handed so the Assistant Loacations Manager asked me if I wanted to work.
Of course I jumped at the opportunity. I was doing the work of a production assistant. This job is anything but glamorous. The job explanation is that PAs make sure that the set is a safe and comfortable environment. So that means we clean, guard, and do many other miscellaneous duties.
I worked about 14 hours and made roughly $160 canadian. At the end of the day the ALM said that as far as he's concerned, I've got a job. Guess all of my working my ass off impressed him. So now I get to work on films in the summer.
It's not the most glorious work but it gets me on set, pays decent, and gives me practical experience.
Plus I can tell people that I worked on Final Destination 3.
Glee.

That's AWESOME! Who knows, maybe this will help you get into the movie industry as a real player.
Or whatever.
Are you going to be in the credits? I'd bloody go to the movie in theatres just to see that.

That's cool. I've worked on a few professional musicals. It's always a big rush and lots of fun, well, normally.

Doubtful. I only day called as a production assistant. But there's always a very slim chance.
I'll tell you all more about the experience when I have time.

That's cool, congrats on the job. :D
Do you get to see any actors? If so, I guess it's not allowed to bother them.. :p and you better not, if you want to keep your reputation. :)

There are always actors about. But I don't really care enough to bother them. I don't think they're a very big deal.

I just worked two days on this show called The Collector.
Two days of hell, I tells ya.
But I think I may be getting work next week on some Samuel L. Jackson movie called Pacific Air Flight 121.
Man...I was enjoying summer too...
At least the money is good.

You're doing a good job networking your way into Hollywood. I have yet to land any jobs or make any friends.
The best card in my hand right now is a tour of Pixar on August 25th.
This time please take pictures.

I'm staying the hell away from Hollywood as much as I can.
Also, I don't think it would look good if I brought a camera and started snapping pictures.

There is a difference between film-making and working in Hollywood (Dylflon: you do want to be a film-maker, right?).

Ever since I was twelve.
Fun Fact: Typhoid and I each played two characters in my very first film when we were twelve years old.
2nd Fun Fact: Dyne has a recurring character that has appeared in two of my films.
