I was trying to install my new digital camera on this computer, because I save all my crap on this computer..it's a Windows ME..

I can't use the computer in my room, which has XP, because the fan for my video card isn't working, and the video card burns up if I use the computer, and I don't want to risk that happening to the point where it's useless, so I'm giong to wait until I can get a new fan...anyway

I was trying to install my camera on this computer, and I realized that I'm missing two drivers, which is preventing it from installing. I was wondering if it is safe to download them from a site called Driverguide.com. I know that I would have to sign up an account inorder to download anything from that site, but I just don't know if that would be a bad idea or not. If any of you have any suggestions that could help me out, please let me know.

What's the camera make?

More than likely the manufacturer WILL have the drivers for your camera. Check with their websites first.

Otherwise, if you're really paranoid, read the fineprint before you sign up for that website. It looks fairly authentic, though.

The make is Nikon. The problem is that my comptuer has gone through a lot of ****, and I've lost a lot of drivers. These drivers are nothing that the manufacturer would provide.

Well, it doesn't look like you have anything to lose with the site. The popup may be daunting, but people have to pay the bills somehow.

I downloaded the two drivers, now I just need to see if my stupid computer can recognize the new device..aka my camera. Maybe it got everything it needed, except it just needed me to have the two drivers..I think I'll try to upload a picture onto my computer.
