From IGN:
Today we thoroughly tested InterAct's Mega Memory 16x. While doing so we ran into a problem. Whether you knew it or not (even we didn't) the GameCube only allows for 127 save files.

Turn to page 18 of your GameCube instruction booklet and you'll see it notes: "You cannot move or copy files...when you have reached the maximum of 127 files on the memory card that you are trying to move or copy a file to (Note: This limitation is only for future memory cards that have 127 or more blocks available to save files to)."

That's a flaw? How do you consider? Most people will never get more than 127 game files on one card. And those that do, can buy another.

Haha. Actually, I probably would fill that if I went to college. Military will keep me from filling that quota. I only got 17 games so far, but my b-day is coming up :)

I didn't say it is a flaw, IGN said it is.

.....probobly so consumers would have to by more, which in turn raises nintendo's profits. its like the saying "u get what u pay for". useing xbox for example, it's memeroy card has 8 mb and i believe it costs 34.99. nintendo's holds only 59 blocks and costs 14.96. this actually fooled some people into thinking that 59 blocks was a sufficient amount because many are used to afew 16 block memory cards for playstation which was adaquete. little did they no that a next-gen system needs more memory for many reasons i dont feel like listing.:D

Small memory cards allows for a smaller price, which keeps customer's who don't have a lot of money happy. The SD cards are perfect for those who will spend a lot more money for a card that holds a lot more.

Only problem is, they still haven't released the SD cards :(

Heck with the SD cards, I want that small hard drive that was talked about before. Anything confirmed about that?

I doubt that's why Nintedo released it like that... I think that it's purely financial.

The sad part is, Sports gamers have to suffer again. EA might as well sell thier games for $65 with a free memory card... cause if you want to save eash game seperate you are spending that much money anyway.

I think Games from Nintendo would have taken the same amount of Memory... if they used big cards or not... sooo, if someone played enough to fill up 8MB, they would get $35 if they released an 8MB card, or, they could keep the 4mb cards and get $200+ from the same gamer.

I think it's smart for making money, but it hurts the game quality (mainly sports games)

I'd rather have SD cards for 2 reasons

1) SD cards are cheaper

2) Nintendo couldn't use full features with the Hard drive like Xbox does. I mean, you can't exactly rip CD's with Gamecube.

There is no 64MB card on the market for GC. There might be a Nyco out that's 64Mb, which would be 8MB (notice the one's in caps). But as far as I have seen, there isn't one.
