This means that there is one question that remains unanswered. The pre-E3 press conference that was held by Sony had a large number of technology demos - what GPU was used to render those if RSX is still in development?

Burkett discussed how NVIDIA and Sony had used an upcoming product with many similar capabilities to the RSX to demonstrate the capabilities of the Playstation 3 GPU. The demos at the show were running on NVIDIA's upcoming high-end desktop part, and also SLI systems. It is unclear whether these were based on the new desktop part that we've referred to as G70 in the past, or whether they were GeForce 6800 Ultra SLI combinations.

Hmm... Interesting...

Sony as well as nintendo have a lot of extra development time. so unlike MS, thier stuff doesnt have to be done right now. dont see why this would surprise anyone that sony and nintendo would have things still in development stages. the Nintendo Evolution was just an empty box with weights in it. :p

I'm glad some of it is not ready, just raises more questions of whether or not the RSX will be even more powerful. It also shows how much good can come out of a later release.

I'm pretty sure Microsoft is almost final on everything.

Agreed, but this proves the fact that the demos were fake, because it wasnt using the RSX :p

Anyway, things can only go up from here on out for Sony and Nintendo...

Fake? Your the one who posted the article, and the guy himself said they were running on a desktop GPU they developed.

In any case... of COURSE it'll only go up for Nintendo, since they haven't really shown anything yet to speculate that much. Without seeing anything on Evolution we're looking at the GameCube has a plateau to surpass with their next-gen.

We've already seen PS3's stuff and theres a lot of speculation as to it's authenticity. So... with PS3 it can either get better or worse... but for Nintendo..... until they show something... it can only get better.

Well when you make a simplist comment like that after posting an article saying it otherwise.... it kinda raises the question of whether or not it's a joke or not....

lighten up... geez.... and NO I'm not inquiring a challenge......
