After all the show was over and I have had a few days to reflect on this years E3 I was terribly dissapointed. Hearing about the show from people who were there said there were a lot of demonstrations and videos and not very much hands on stuff as compared to E3's in the past. They said the booth that attracted the biggest crowds was Bungies's showing off some new maps for Halo2.

Microsoft had the highest expectations because they have a new console coming out in about 6 months and they still failed to have a good showing. From what I understand they had very little that was playable, didn't even show Perfect Dark Zero, and lots of videos. Not to mention the horrible MTV showing days before E3 and tons of leeks.

Sony although unveiled the PS3 had nothing playable, which is understandable, several videos that looked pre rendered causing much doubt and leaving people wanting more on what the PS3 could really do. The videos they showed did look impressive, but as soon as they were over I was saying bull Sh*t.

Nintendo didn't have very high expectations coming into the show, but I was one of those people that thought Nintenodo was going to steal the show away from Microsoft and Sony. I was expecting them to not only unviel the console design, but to pull that ace out of their sleeve and showoff what is supposed to cause a revolution. Instead a few DS games, and probably the best game in show, Legend of Zelda.

For me personally I was very dissapointed, I would have to give E3 2005 a 4 out of 10.

I agree with most points. This E3 seemed not as 'wowy' because all 3 companies in all honesty didnt do enough to WOW us. Granted, the 360 has a huge WOW factor but....it just didnt seem there.

I too thought Nintendo was gonna show why they code-named it Revolution but I guess not...maybe get rid of that codename and call it my patended Revolwhotion :p

Sony has a ton of promise with the PS3 but without hands-on stuff to mess around with, it just didnt hype me enough :(
