Revolution. They hypnotizing blue light that comes out of the CD loader is pretty beyond words. PS3 just looks weird to me for some reason. Doesn't look bad, but I don't like too much. Xbox 360 is decent too. None of the designs are bad, but Revolution appeals to me the most.

Like I said in another thread, Revolution is a mix of the Panasonic Q and the PS2. It's really sexy. I love it.

PS3's nice too but I'm not used to it yet. I'd appreciate it more if they didn't use that ugly Spiderman font. Eugh.

Xbox 360 and it's ring of light is just ugly.

The 360X (I'm calling it that now) doesn't look too bad to me. The Rev is ok. I like the look of the PS3, it looks a little big though.

On another note, it may just be me, but I'm not too hyped up about these wireless controllers, because I know I'm going to lose it.

I choose the Xbox 360 through the process of elimination. The Revolution is a rectangle with a slant and the PS3 just doesnt look like I should play with it.

I don't like Xbox360, however the PS3 and Revolution look sexy. I can't decide which I like more, however the PS3 controller is ugly so I'll say revolution

In these pictures, they are all equal to me. However, if that was a white Revolution, I'd pick it. I really don't find Xbox 360 that ugly.. I just don't like the curve, which I also don't like on the PS3. Other than that, they're all very nice looking systems.

Seriously.... I like all of the designs. X360 is smaller then this gen... + for them. PS2 added curves and shiny'ness to their console design + for them. Nintendo also added shiny'ness and added a lil twist with the slant +for them...

But it's kinda obvious what i'm going to pick... look at my signature.

The PS3's design seems to be the most different and seems like a console thats suited for Next-Gen. I mean, the Revolution is purdy and all but just being a slanted boxes doesn't appeal to me, and Xbox's is just a dvd player with inner curves....

The PS3 seems like it's trying to do something different with the design... It's rounded and glossy yet can still do the Standing/Laying feature. I also like the variety in the console's overall appearance in how the slot-loading drive in inset leaving LED eject and power buttons on a ledge, and the rest finishes off the curve.

The Xbox 360 is a tray-loader and so it's no big deal for me, and it's just a regular box with curvature towards the inside... so real variety in the overall design.

The Revolution has something with their slant in making things different, but it's still just a square, like NES, SNES, and GCN.... N64 had to be one of their more varied designs.

One more important factor in the designs... is that they all copied Sony's Vertical/Horizontal architecture...... and we all know Sony did that first with the PS2...

I find it amusing that Allard hired some famous artist who then hired a bunch of people and the current design is the best they could come up with. It doesn't look bad at all but it's hardly something I would expect a team of artists to settle on. It

How can a team of artists agree on a curved box for X360 and a slanted box for Revolution?

To me the PS3 uses the curves and angles the best with all the insets and the outlets. Especially the flat bottom extruding from the curved system to make it horizontally possible... the gives it a nice variety of shapes.

The Rev isn't slanted? I thought it was the base it stood on that made it slanted?

Well then that makes the revolution even more dull.... Lights and gloss is pretty... but now that you mention it... which I have been overlooking...

The Revolution is just abox now.... The GCN was a cube but it had a handle and the design was diverse. The Rev however is a black box....lol
