View Full Version : Final Fantasy XI Coming to Xbox
Securing Final Fantasy XI for the Xbox will be seen as a key victory for Microsoft's campaign to overtake rival Sony as the king of the hill in the video game console business. If nothing else, it should make the Xbox more attractive to potential buyers. That's because people buy the hardware based on the available games.
The Forbes article also confirms that some of the top-selling current Xbox games will work on the Xbox 360."

As much as it may or may not sell...
FFXI sucks, it's a horrible addiction, and most of all, it is the most annoying game ever.
DM and Stray can back me up.... (though I believe we all thought it was fun until the bull**** came around in the game... funny how the best part of the game was the beginning or leveling new jobs or characters).

Some of the top-selling titles?

I shall strive to keep my goal of never playing any FF game ever. Too many sequels.

Yeah, apparently Microsoft is going to emulate the titles they want (the best sellers) for backwards compatability, and not the others.
AKA... Halo, Project Gotham, Fable, and..... FUSION FRENNNNNNNZYYYYY!

FFXI was such a terrible game. I'm sorry that people ever paid for it, and even more sorry that people are still paying for it.

Hmmm?
vB doesn't let you just post quoted material without posting other text that is not quoted. So normally I just use a one worder, normally the first thing that comes to mind.

But you'll continue to play Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon games, right?

Mario, Zelda, and Pokémon have sold OVER 1 million games combined.
Can you say the same for your little game that contains strong influence of history, literature, religion and mythology?
Public opinion rests on my side, junior. Those games I play are each legendary classics that have redefined the video game industry.

Really?
I can only think of one FF sequel.
FFX-2.

Ok...first of all, those three franchises combined have sold way, way, WAY more than 1 million copies.
Can I say the same for Final Fantasy? Is that what you're asking? Because if it is, then yes, I can.
And how exactly does "units sold" have anything to do with what I said? You stated that you won't ever play Final Fantasy because it has too many sequels, with the irony being that you'll continue to play Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, etc. games which have just as many, if not more, sequels than Final Fantasy....
...ah just forget it.

I considered buying FFXI, only because I wanted a HD.
So unless MS gives me something else, like a cup-holder attachment for the mem card slot, I'm going to pass.
Why did I want a HD? Not sure. Probably the same reason I own the SD Card adapter.
