there are scans of Ghost recon 3 that look sweet and implement what looks like live video in the top right corner. Also seems to confirm the Halo 2.5 in the next few months (probably built on the harddrive thing) Says Hardrive is only 20, not 40 gigs.
DOES NOT USE HDDVD OR BLU-RAY but does read every format out there (not including those i just mentioned)
*It will be released in europe 7 days after USA
*December release in Japan
*Its released in less than six months
*10-16 titles at the release. at least 40 after half a year
*Release games: Perfect Dark Zero, PGR3 and Kameo
*No price is official, and it seems like they wont release any details about that until oktober
*The Xbox Silver thingy is correct, it will be there, and free.
*You will be able to transfer stuff from an ipod.
*You will see TV thru your Xbox.
*It can stand up and lie down.
*When you watch DVD, some stuff in the console will automaticly shut down - so its more quiet.
can i post the scans since they come from a free magazine ? Neo this is important!!!!!!!!

usb ports, check, yes yes, learning from sony, good good. Now question is, will the console itself have drivers built in to automatally read keyboard and mouse?
Seems like release games are really relying on rare, i hope theres more then thoes 3, cuz i sure wouldnt put that much faith in rare at this point in time. Hopfully rare can pull it off tho.
The woman in the 2nd picture somehow reminds me of the princess of GreySkull.
Didn't someone say there would be 30+ games at launch?

Maybe my view on the DoA series (graphically) has just been spoiled on DoA3/ultimate/whatever... But those shots to me don't look a whoooole lot better than the Xbox DoA's...
I guess some of the textures...
Perhaps most of the extra power of the 360 was shoved into the jiggle-factor...
Edit: Ok those shots of ghost recon (or whatever it is) look pretty sweet despite being crappy scans...
What happened to that piece of crap in the glass case that we thought was real?
edit: nevermind

- Wireless is standard.
- Is a bit smaller.
- Same plastic feeling and analoge buttons.
- The old white and blak buttons now work as an extra set of shoulder buttons.
- The button in the middle is called "The Ring of Light" and indicates what controller you are holding and if you have any invites or other Live related stuff.
- Rumble.
- Rumble can be adjusted to save battery.
- Comes with two rechargeable AA batteries.
- Is recharged through on of the systems USB ports. It doesn't say anything about a cable or base.

Development sources downplay alleged Xbox 360 spec sheet
GamesIndustry.biz staff 09:47 10/05/2005
Close but no cigar, say coders working on next-gen Xbox as new "leak" hits the net
Developers working on the Xbox 360 hardware have expressed doubts at the validity of a "leaked" bullet-point list of specifications purporting to be those of the Xbox 360 next-gen console and the accompanying Xbox Live service.
The console specifications, which were posted to the Internet this week, are largely consistent with previous leaks about the Xbox 360 hardware - but a number of unusual flaws in the document, pointed out by development sources, suggest that this is not an official Microsoft document.
"It's most probably a list made by someone who knows more about the official spec than the average hack, but I doubt it's an official Microsoft spec sheet," we were told by one developer who has experience of the new format.
"It's probably broadly in line with the spec that will be announced, but may be off on some of the finer details," he added.
One example is the mention of a 20GB detachable hard disk, when a 40GB unit is clearly visible in last Friday's leaked photographs.
The hardware spec sheet offers details on the central and graphics processing unit architectures, memory details and bandwidth potential, and claims that Xbox 360 will support a host of CD and DVD derivatives, output in widescreen and the much vaunted high-definition resolutions as standard, boast a trio of USB 2.0 ports, support for four wireless controllers, and the aforementioned detachable 20GB drive.
It will also be "Wi-Fi ready", the spec sheet claims, although whether that is intended to imply that the system actually has Wi-Fi hardware (as is widely expected) or that it's simply ready to plug an additional Wi-Fi module into is not clarified.
The Xbox Live spec included on the sheet is arguably more interesting, mentioning a pair of subscription options (one free, and one paid-for) and some key concepts like the ability to access Live to download premium content without actually being a paid up subscriber who can play games online.
We must stress that Microsoft has made absolutely no comment on this information, and is unlikely to do so if past form is anything to go by. We don't have long to wait, however, with the MTV special which will officially unveil the console planned for Thursday evening in the USA.
For the sake of completeness, that probably-not-official spec sheet in full...

Ok, time for my wise-ass remarks everyone was hoping they wouldn't have to read...
A triple-core IBM 3.2ghz? I thought Xbox 360 was supposed to be the profitable system? Guess not.
HD only 20GB? Wow, things seem to be shrinking. Signs of Microsoft spending too much.
No 1080p support, but this is the HD Era as J Allard and the other children will continue to call it, until he cons the rest of the world into saying it.
Wow, we get a HD web cam? Yippie, just something else to cause lag.
We get USB ports, but do we get controller ports? Of course not. You know what makes backwards compatibility even better? when you can use the original controller!
Since its WiFi they probably took away our ethernet port as well. But 802.11a, b, or g?
But let's look on the bright side, we get to play slightly revised versions of DOA, Ghost Recon, Fable, and PGR!
Or save your money, and continue playing Xbox.
umm... so who wants to go press dashboard buttons, remove HDs, and display JPEG slideshows with me? Sounds like fun, right? We can also change faceplates, and turn our console from vertical to horizontal!

Controller port on the back? Come on here, we're sacrificing functionality for style so this can win a mother's approval for the living room. And only 1? Why not keep 4?
And connecting the controllers with USB to charge would be nice, but can they charge and play at the same time? Can I remove the batteries and use the USB connection as a wired controller? Better yet, where the hell did they hide the USB ports? Do I need to pull my Xbox off the "home entertainment system" shelf to plug in my controller? And even if I can, now we only have 3 ports? I could've sworn I used to have 4, 2 generations ago on my N64!
And like Null mentioned, keyboard and mice drivers would be ideal for the USB ports. But then again, in this age of "god forbid we show a cable" why no Bluetooth support for keyboards and mice? Then I could use it from my couch, with no cords anywhere! But I sure will go broke on batteries.
I also like the 20GB upgradable HD. In other words, you're paying for 20, if you want more, you can buy it, but either way, you're initially paying for 20. Lucky us.
I doubt Microsoft has the balls to enforce the every game supporting 1080i and 720p thing. Sorry, it's a nice idea, in theory, but Xbox 360 is likely going to receive upgraded ports much like Dreamcast did. And those games are going to be made at a lower resolution, so unless Xbox 360 has built-in up-conversion, which would be nice for backwards compatibility though not sure if real-time up-conversion is practical yet, it's going to be in 480p at best. They won't have the balls to force developers into 16x9 1080i, because PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox all have a larger install-base than Xbox 360 will, so they need all the games they can get to sell systems.
Microsoft has already said it will launch Spring 2006. If they push it back to Fall 05, they are stupid. Christmas sales, yes, but it'll be more expensive, and I doubt the hardware will be ready by then. Unless they just want to make 3 consoles, ship them to opposite sides of the country and say they sold out. It works for Sony, but doesn't really help sales.
But still, I think after I'm done pressing the circle-of-retarded-ass-sayings-that-Microsoft-is-in-love-with-this-gen, standing my console up, and detaching my HD, I'm gonna take a break. These games are too much for me.
5 more hours. I swear, if I hear them say HD-era or customisation, I'm gonna be on the next flight to Redmond to strangle Microsoft's marketing department.

It looks alright, but like Gekko is saying, it could be A LOT better. One controller port? C'mon, that's sad.
I'm getting kind of anxious...I was expecting a lot from this system, and it was my most anticipated one out of the three next gen consoles.

Ah, it's nice to see Microsoft finally acknowledge and admit defeat to the ultimate portable music player.
- The button in the middle is called "The Ring of Light" and indicates what controller you are holding and if you have any invites or other Live related stuff.
No thanks. A little too hokey and mythical for my tastes.
* Some kind of memory card, atleast 64mb...?
Should not even be mentioned. Not only is it unimpressive, but it was standard last generation. Talk about fishing for benefits!

Nope. That doesn't enhance my gaming experience. These are just desperate stabs in the dark to lure video game amateurs with party bag trinkets. Wasteful filth.
Excuse me, waiter? Take this back to the kitchen. It's disgusting and I'm no longer hungry.

Well, the last Xbox sure didn't end up like the dreamcast, but this one probably will.
One controller port would certainly limit your multiplayer experience now wouldn't it?

They wouldnt commit this much gaming suicide. As much as they are stupid, they have something else in mind to get money, and enhance multiplayer.

I agree. If it doesn't get any better than this, I will not be buying one. I mean, what's the point? Why would anyone buy a system that is less powerful than the others if it didn't have amazing third party support?
Which it doesnt.

It does have wireless. Point is, some of us don't want wireless, we want to have the option, and we hardly do with 1 port.
Why would anyone buy a system that is less powerful than the others if it didn't have amazing third party support?
Which it doesnt.
It has plenty of 3rd party support, they just haven't announced any great games. But then again, Nintendo and Sony aren't promising stellar lineups either.
And the point is to have a new console before next Christmas. Every multi-platform game for a year after Xbox 360 comes out will be better in many ways on Xbox 360. Also, if it offers any forms of improvement to the original Xbox games, such as up-conversion, it offers a better way to play Xbox.
How about we all just wait for it to be officialy revealed and stop jumping to conclusions.

I was, but every time they announce something else I lose interest. The new consoles are coming too soon, going to miss out on the technology it should be embracing, and all we're really getting is a combination of the best things from this gen, all wrapped up in one (or rather, 3) with better graphics.
Development costs are going up, game prices are at a high risk of increasing, games are only going to get worse. All for what? Because there are better graphics chips out so we immediately need a new console?
I could go into more detail, but I'm not in ranting mode right now, I'm in satirical mock-Microsoft mode.

I still think all wireless controllers is the way to go, and I don't understand why it's such a bad thing if they don't have cord ports. I love my WaveBird, and wouldn't play any other way. Not to mention you end up getting about 50000000000000 hours off of the thing.
Ghost Recon was the only game's pics that impressed me... I'll wait until more information until I judge the system.

I use my Wavebird too, as well as bongos, arcade sticks, and keyboards.
And how many channels does Wavebird have? 16. How many people does Halo support? 16. God forbid you get interference on one of the channels, someone won't be playing.
Adding features is nice. It's when we lose them that we tend to get irritated. this is costing me money to lose features.

This is for whoever was worried about the controller's battery dying during a game:
"The controller will reportedly give you an early heads-up about when your battery charge is running low, ensuring that you're never caught off guard in the heat of battle."
And you will be able to hook up your controller with a cable to the console via the USB port.
