/* Begin rant */

Hello? Mr. Naka? Are you still alive? PSU is being developed under your guidance, so offer some guidance! Obviously the project has taken many turns for the worst, and it isn't stopping!!!!

Let's try to make sense of these decisions, shall we? We have the following systems to choose from:

GC - PSO EPI&II, PSO EPIII, PSO EPI&II Plus
Xbox - PSO EPI&II, Voice chat, a HD
Xbox 360 - Best hardware, most online features
PS2 - ???????

Hmm... let's pick PS2! Sure they have the most owners, who cares? Obviously not you when you released PSO three times on GC, and once on Xbox.

Any reason not to put it out on Xbox 360? I mean, the brand new console coming out the exact same time as PSU!! Yes, they won't have a large userbase, who cares? As said in the official press release: "The game features a game world that will evolve with new content over the course of several years." Guess what moron? Xbox 360 is the only console that will last several years from Spring 2006!!! And don't even try to play the backwards compatibility card. A port to Xbox 360 right now will look much better than it ever will on PS2, and I need to be playing this game SEVERAL YEARS from now!

But if we have to settle for PS2, could you at least do it right? No! Of course not! They dropped support for the HDD! Smart move, no big downloads for us!

But now for today's late breaking news from IGN. PSU will not support widescreen or progressive scan! Awesome! Just what I always wanted!

Where's my gun?

Ugh, I'm just as frustrated as you are. It pisses me off to no end too.

Gamecube is pretty much perfect for it. Revolution's going to have backwards compatibility, right? And chances are, Revolution's going to be online. I don't know if it's wishful thinking or not, but what if they hooked gamecube games up on revolution? That would be perfect in the sense that it could still be growing AND come out in such a sketchy time for the current generation.

I'm also pretty pissed about Episode IV not appearing on Gamecube.

But it just all seems like a higher up decision that Yuji Naka didn't have control over. Poor guy.

And for the record, PS2's getting a remake of.. PS2. (Phantasy Star 2).

Or, they could just utilize already existing technology like a HD and we wouldn't be having these problems either.
