Ok who's got a job? I just recently finished school (until Septmeber) and so I've started working at a golf course. Pays only $7.40 an hour, but I get to play all the golf I want for free (when I'm not working), and its a nice course. It's a tough job, too. Constantly running around doing stuff, and it has tired the hell out of me even though I've only worked 14 hours in two days

:(

Anyways, what are you guys doing for work?

Right now I work at a full serve gas station, I've worked there for over a year now, but not sure how much longer I'll be around there (I could go into the details but its a long story). I get paid 7.75 per hour.

School is currently more than enough work for me. In addition to the roughly 20 hours of class time per week (actually just Monday-Thursday) I probably have roughly 700-800 pages of reading per week. So, there are some days when I'm easliy doing 12-14 hours of work per day, almost non-stop until I go to sleep. It's a bitch sometimes, but that's the life, I still "relax" on weekend nights.

For the summer, the Spinto Band is going on tour for about a month starting in mid-June. Probably won't make much money personally because of it, but it will be an experience.

I've also applied for an Resident Advisor like position at college...It pays $700 for the whole term which is pretty good because it isn't the hardest job in the world. You have to go to meetings and be nice to the freshmen, and that is more or less it. Plus you get to go to school a week earlier than everyone else for "training" or as I have heard it described to me, a week of "drinking and partying like crazy." Sounds worth it to me.

I work at a photography studio. Started out just retouching photos in the back with photoshop and scanning in film, pictures, slides, and videos onto the harddrive. Then I started doing that and developing the photos and modifying the colors and so on to the customers delight. Now I'm doing those things and working the front a bit. $7.50 an hour for a REALLY easy job. Straight cash too :D

But, I'm thinking of quitting and working at a golf course too. I just really hate being inside a dark room and looking at a computer screen all day. I'd rather be outside doing ANYTHING instead.

I currently have no job, but come Summer I have a few options for places to work. There would be Germany, to work and live with my sister and brother-in-law, The Army, Alberta for some logging thing, or I could just be lame, stay around blondie, and get some low paying job here.

NYC's Department of Sanitation Human Resources Intern. Got this crappy job through work study so I can pay for college. So to make my work even more unrewarding, nothing I make can actually be spent on myself. I answer phones trying to calm down angry garbagemen who are pissed off that the fat old women in my office never call them back when they need help. Input data on these angry garbagemen. Make copies of documents of people who hope to become angry garbagemen. Run errands picking up papers on angry garbagemen who somehow got in trouble. Etc etc. $7 an hour which doesn't even come close to how much work study is suppose to cover. Plus interns from other colleges doing the same work I do get paid $2 more an hour. Bastards.

Just two more weeks though and I'm getting a new job for the summer. But I'm also going to class everyday this summer from 9-3 and then 6-8pm, so I gotta find a job where I can work 3-6 everyday.

And I get an least 10 new papercuts everyday I work there. My hands are gonna look like Marv's face soon.

Inbound Sales for a MAJOR *hint hint* ISP *cough AOops* ;) :p

Makes 8 an hour with the ability to earn an addition $5 per hour every 2 weeks, depending on 'stuff' (and combine it with overtime being time and a half and well, it gets pretty 'nasty' :p

If you like to play golf, working at a golf course is just perfect. That is, if they let you play for free. It saves you a LOT of money, and you make a lot of people who like golf too.

Grocery store: produce department. I make $6.50 an hour. I'm working on getting an interview to work at the Engineering Department of a place called Hansen Mold. I'll let you know how it goes in the next couple of weeks.

It'll pay $7-8 hour.

Oh yeah, my hours range from 12-20. If I get the Hansen Mold job, I could be working full time during the summer... maybe even some over time (50 hours)

very cool...my buddies and I are starting up a creative marketing/design/advertising company and my role is vp/director of marketing. I would either doing or hiring people to do the kinda things like you just described. it's hard to get work, but when you do, it really pays off. we've received $1000 for a business card design, and hundreds more for a backdrop for a presentation, a logo for a soccer tournament...things like that.

Im still working at Cobatco (www.cobatco.com), where ive been for going on two years now.

For those of you who dont know, we make waffle machines and waffle cone machines, the larger commercial type for restaurants and hotels and such. Im making $6.90 an hour. Its mostly boring factory type work, screw this nut into this screw, tighten, ect. But I'll admit the job does have its advantages. For one thing ive gotten several friends of mine jobs there so thats nice. Also, hours are perfect during school its 3-6PM, Monday through Friday, which is great because all my nights are free. And I never have to work weekends. That and during the Summer I can pretty much make up my own schedule. And theyre real good about time off, just ask and youve got it.

I'm currently working as a Web Developer for COS International. I design product displays and manage the website, and maintain it. It pays about $600 a week flat, plus commission and overtime at $25/hr. It's a decent job and I guess you could say it's good pay.

It gets tedious doing products and such but it's flexible when it comes to my much needed smoke breaks... so I'm liking it.

Smoke brakes aren't fair. :(

Today I've worked for 3,5 hours straight, and it wasn't light work. :( They've cut 1 of our 2 brakes.

Currrently I work at the library on my University campus. Its technically a workstudy job, so I only make 6 bucks an hour, but they have to schedule my hours around classes and school activities. Also, since I want to go into L&I Sciences, its really a good place to work.

Over the summer I'll have a paid internship making about $12 an hour :-D

I work at a lake estate on Okanagan Lake. It's owned by the owner of the Vancouver White Caps. It's basically his family's summer home. They have a soccer field which takes a lot of work and a ****load of landscaping type work to do. I get paid 12 bucks an hour. I like it.

When I'm not doing that or school then I help my dad renovate our latest project house.

Those who haven't tried the occupation themselves would be surprised how difficult it is to find a serious client. Good luck, Neo! I gave up after half a year.

Yesterday, I got an application from a business. The other business does their applications online. I'll have to fill them out this Friday or weekend. I'd be interested in giving $50 away each month for special GT contests or something similar.
