I almost forgot about this. heheh.
I was hoping that some more people would submit some poems...I know I remember reading some of Kyuzo's, thatmariolovers, and Ulala's poetry.
Oh well, we will let our trifecta of competitors duke it out in the voting booths. At least this means you voters don't need to read very much. :D
May the best poet win.
"Ghost"
By Vampyr
The fog is creeping up at my door,
And I keep see’n shadows, race’n across the floor.
And it’s true, I have a fear of the dark;
I hallucinate when I can’t see,
But I swear, there’s a girl stand’n right next to me!
I pull my blankets ‘round me tightly,
And as her eyes meet mine,
I wonder, is this dream or reality?
But I can see right through her,
She is naked, but unaware,
And I can see she died from an innocent disease,
Her jaded body hang’n like death in front of me.
And I can see right through her,
Watch her walk on water
Cause she doesn’t walk on anything.
But everybody needs to walk on something
But she can’t touch anything,
Oh no,
She can’t touch anything
Well the minutes tick by,
And the shadows get longer,
And just as I think that my eyes have lied,
The ghost begins to cry,
And through her tears,
By God she screams:
“I think I’m finally close to understanding,
What I meant to you was everything.”
Then I recognize the eyes
Of my fallen angel,
With her broken halo
Slippin down ‘round her neck
And the holy water in her eyes
Baptizing everyone of her lies
Because she just couldn’t hold me inside,
And now I see,
My sins have finally come back to get me.

I can’t recall anything in this house
that was very exciting.
The best was maybe the
one time I celebrated New Year’s there,
or watching a good movie,
or sports game on the television.
It was rather lackluster,
and I still think of it that way
most of the time. Maybe it’s because
the days I spent there were Sunday-Tuesday. Not exactly
the days where much fun is going on. There were some confusing times
for me in the house too. The naive times
where dad wasn’t drunk, he was just “acting weird.” I hated it
when he acted weird, but I hate it
even more
because now
I have to call him drunk,
not just weird.

I think the words I wish to say,
I just want them to go away,
Nothing leaves so here I stay,
Its only you that walks away,
I trail closely right behind,
Hopeing that you will not find,
What your looking for and just rewind,
Whats going on and we'll be fine,
But you keep on going the other way,
I lied when I said "go away",
I need to know that your Ok,
Because im not, So here I stay,
I wish I could just turn back time,
Take back all those stupid lines,
I ****ed up now and Im not fine,
You act as if I committed a crime,
Now I only think the words I wish to say,
Instead of them, You go away,
Just you left, So here I stay,
I wish those words just walked away.

I forgot to make this to where we can see who votes for who. I just trust you guys to play by the rules. Remember, you can't vote for yourself.
