Yeah it's real. That's the late pope's (RIP) pimped out ride. It was on tv quite a bit.

I think the Pope started travelling in that after his assasination attempt. I noticed that he used to travel in open top cars (ala JFK) but after he was shot he rode in one of those nifty little cars when he was in Australia in the 70s.

Yeah sometimes the cabin contained a special liquid to support the Pope, whose muscles couldn't bear his own weight. +rep for noticing!

I highly doubt it's liquid ... it's staying considerably level for a moving car.
