On the day the season opens, baseball issued the first steroids suspension under its new drug policy. Devil Rays outfielder Alex Sanchez has received a 10-day penalty, the first player ID'd under tougher rules.

What a ****ing moron. I find this especially funny because the Brewers released him a few years ago.

Ah, the Brewers....I remmeber the good old days when the Vancouver Canadians were the Brewers farm team. But then they refused to make the stadium bigger to hold more fnas, so now were an A team. What the f*ck.
And yes, Sanchez = Moron.

They are Single A (or Triple A, whichevr is the lower) arnt they? That would mean they are the farm team, for the farm team, for the farm team, of the Oakland A's.
If they moved back up to an actual farm team, its news to me.

Single A is lower. It's entirely possible they are a farm team, but they are no longer a farm team of the Brewers.

Yeah, I know that we arnt the Brewers Farm team anymore....Pretty sure we used to be though.
And I checked the website, and we indeed are a Single A team. Or as the website so nicely puts it "Oaklands Single A Affiliates".
This is a sad realization indeed. :(

Eh, single A isn't so bad...We have a single A team in Wilmington (The Bluerocks) and Johnny Damon played for them at some point and he's a world series champ, so you can see some good players come out of those games...

Thank god that a small guy is taking steroids.. now the stupid media won't think that steroids are only used by sluggers.
Steroids do not help you hit a home run. Steroids in baseball are used for recovery.

yes yes yes, they do. that is, if you know how to hit a baseball already.
Barry Bonds was a GREAT hitter in the first half of his career, without steroids. But back then, he couldnt hit a pop fly over the fence. Now, he's still a great hitter by nature...he always has been...but everytime he gets a hold of the ball now, it's gone.
If a crappy hitter takes steroids, it's not going to do anything for them. They'll pack a bigger punch when they DO get a hold of the ball, but it wont help them hit it.
