Apparently, some have been able to trick the psp into going onine using the website update thingy built into the wipeout game.

strange but alrighty.

thing that im happy about is that they're already finding ways to get around certain issues. every tiny step like this brings emulators that much closer :)

personally tho, i dont think im gunna worry about trying this, sonys going to release an official browser anyway. altho its really cool to see. heh

Nice to see the firmware for the browser will be free when Sony releases it, and won't be a cart taking up a game slot like will be the case for DS. Am I to assume the analog nub will control the cursor?

I would think so. be cool tho if they made like the shoulder buttons or something cycle thro each link on a website. so say you wanted hit the third link on the page, instead of trying to move a cursor, you could just press down down down x.

Nah, I been playing Untold Legends on the PSP and it uses a Mouse Cursor to navigate the Equipment and Level menus and the Analog nub is almost as good as a mouse. Smooth moving,

I wouldn't mind using the nub to move a mouse around.

i didnt say you couldnt. but im saying it would be nice to be able to cycle thro links. would be quicker.

and no, the nub isnt as good as a mouse, not even close. its very good on a handheld, not as good as an analog stick, and the mouse is in a totally differnet league.

Not really surprising. What piece of electronic equipment doesn't get hacked? As long as it's a hack that benefits the gamer, I have no problem.

this ones not really a hack tho, all they're doing is redirecting the games download location.

more stuff like this that is done and the more the psp shows it can do, the easier IMO the emulators are going to be. :) i soooo cannot wait for the first emulator to pop up. whether it be NES, or SNES im gunna be havin some mario goodness on my psp :)

How does Spider-Man 2 look on the PSP?

On the subject of hacking, I performed a hack on my electronic toothbrush that overclocks its vibrate speed. My teeth are so nice.

it actually looks very nice. its bright, crystal clear, and colorful. theres a bit of ghosting obviously, but i've yet to see an LCD screen that i dont notice that on, some may not notice it at all. but its certainly not enough to bother me if i was on a plane and wanted to watch.

unfortunatly tho, unless the umd movies are like $5 then i'll prolly never buy one and only have spiderman. lol

However, on the bright side im going up to best buy tomorrow and picking me up a 512 MB memory card for $60 :) thoes goofs tried to sell me a 256mb one on launch day for $50, ha. i knew i could find a cheaper one if i waited a couple days.

everything i've seen involves wipe out. is there a download option on TM? where it would take you to a website or something? all i can say is try to set up a connection like they say on the site, then go into the game and click on something like download that would take you online.

Talk about popularity..... I just logged into PSP Online, and there were over 400,000 players online in the East coast playing Twisted Metal.
