Whoa, that actually looks like it's real. PSP/PS3 media move is real too. It was confirmed they'd have that.
Where did you get this pic?
EDIT: where are the controller ports on that one? it's 2 wireless frequencies and 2 wired ports.....

PS3 is going to use Blu-Ray, but the disks are not the same size as UMD's.

I think that picture is the real deal and I really like the design. It also looks from the picture that the controllers will be wireless only.

Where did you ever get the idea that discs (not disks) are the same size as the UMDs?

he didn't see the bigger slot for the blu-ray disks I guess.
But i suppose if this was the real hardware they have more than one Memory Card slot... just one is completely ridiculous.
Looks more like a Sony projector, with a little photoshopping to it.

Yep, I'm pretty sure it's a photoshopped LCD projector.
The reflections in the thing are supposed to make it look more realistic, but if you watch it, there's no reflection of the guy+camera that took the picture.

The Universal Media Disc (UMD) is a disc medium developed by Sony for use on the PlayStation Portable. It can hold 1.80 gigabytes of data, ranging from games to movies to music. The UMD has been specially developed by Sony for just this console. However, unlike the Minidisc, which was also a proprietary Sony-developed format, it will not be commercially available as empty discs, in order to avoid piracy.

The more I study that picture it looks like the SONY, Memory Stick, PS, ect... logos were put on using photoshop. If you look close it looks pixalated around the logos.
*whispers* thats because it WAS made using photoshop.
Ok, it's fake, I know but...if the thing looks as cool as that, I'd buy it just for the looks. Immediately.

I agree with you there Kyuzo. I think white is going to become the in color for electronics in a year or two. I don't think it will be black. Black is too closely related to this generation for me.

^Why is the PSP black?
blacks always been around in every generation. usually by sega.
and im pretty confident the PS3 will be black, black usually gives them a slicker look, while white makes them look more fragile and expensive, black gives a more sporty look so to say.

Yeah, but up until this Gen, the White/Grey system won every sales battle. NES>Master System, SNES>Genesis, PSX>N64.
(yeah, I suppose you could say Coleco>2600 or whatever, but none of those pre NES systems were really that successful, as is eveident by the crash of 82' so, meh)
Which one did the Dreamcast own though?
With that being the only actually white one and all :P

And when Sony was speaking of the PS3 they said they wanted to have some of the PSX's essence in the PS3, so I have a pretty firm belief it'll be white.

i dissagree, i find that if sony was planning on making the ps3 white, you woulda saw the white version of the PSP be relased first. it would kinda show thier direction. i think the PS3 is going to 'match' the psp. meaning a very shinny black coat along the front and top.

dat one has some good stuff on it. :) flash light to play in the dark. a bit clip board to put up messages. and who can argue with a rubber duckie?
