I wanna see it... I can sit through pretty much any movie and enjoy myself just because you're in a dark room with a bunch of noise and stuff going on in front of you ;)
But I probably won't be able to see it in the theaters... I'll check it out on DVD...
I also wanna see if I think it's as bad as some people say or if I actually like it :p

I might rent it on video or DVD if I hear that its okay...
But if I hear that its horrible (which is likely IMO) then I won't go near it....

well on rotten tomatoes it has 37% good ratings... not too good... but it's very good for a videogame movie... the highest reviewed one on rottentomatoes got 40% good reviews... and that movie was Final Fantasy :p
Tomb Raider got like 18... so did MK... the second MK got 0 good reviews (heh heh)... yep... street fighter doesn't have a percentage review thing...
But anyways :p
Some people say it has some nice thrills and good action, others say it's just too corny or the storyline doesn't quite make 100% sense or blah blah...
But I don't like movie reviews...

WOW, i just got back from Resident Evil, and i must say, this is THE BEST movie i have seen in a long time, right behind LOTR's. It was full of action packed zombie splatter, and yummy milla. I mean, the movie starts off in Umbrella Corporation and the infection breaks out. People freak, and you know. But then it goes to the mansion where milla is laying naked, barely covering anything with a shower courtain. (there is another little surprise for u at the end). The movie has lots of surprises and really displayes Resident Evil for its "true" qualities. I would totally recommend this movie to anyone that wants a nice action, horror movie and a little bit of milla. But defenitely go see it, its the best video game movie i've ever seen, blows away all the other ones. Even if you dont like RE the game, the movie will still probly appeal to you. Anyways, i gotta have supper, c ya.:D

My older brother saw it last night. He says it was awesome. Then again, he's simple minded. :sneaky:

I've heard that its good for mindless zomebie gore action stuff but as for story and character develpoment is horrible. Some reviews I've read give it a good score because they know its supposed to have mindless zombie gore action stuff but some (most) critics have given it a bad score because that's all it is.... zombie gore action stuff.....

I saw RE Friday night and I think this is the best Game to Movie Movie ever. It "follows" more closely to the RE events and gives some insight into things u might not have known or were wanting to know. The people who say this movie sucks are the ones who dont know what Resident Evil is or are older than 25. But if you have even remotely seen what RE is or what the game is about, I would recommend seeing it.

Be careful of generalizing. I could just as easily say that the people who say this movie rocks are the ones who care way too much about Resident Evil or are younger than 16. That would probably be more true, actually.
And just as a note to everyone: you're not going to convince me to see a movie just because it's the best videogame to movie conversion ever done. If you think about it, that's really isn't saying a lot.

When my grandpa was a lad he said movies only cost a dime and popcorn only cost a nickel. I feel ripped off!
Of course it's all relative. :D

I wish the movie was more like the actual game.
The only thing it seems to have in common are the dogs...In the game I dont see any matrix flipped out kicks and crap. Just shoot the d@mn guy!

heh heh totally. After being bored out of my mind from such videogame movies as ''Final Fantasy'' and ''Mortal Kombat'' Im not going to see this one, no matter how much videogame fans like it.:D

And zombies... lickers (or at least one... they're the things with the long tongues from RE2)... Umbrella, their crazy expiriments, a virus.... It's even placed in the timeline of the other games (it takes place before RE1)...
.. yep...

Hehe, I downloaded it and saw it this vacation (thing doesn't come out here I guess...). It was great!! :D Great movie, although it's just another horror/survivel movie like Aliens. :)
Great ending BTW. Screams for a sequel or for playing the games.
And they take this one guy who got attacked by the licker to 'project Nemesis', will he become what I think he will become?? :D
I heard that RE0 and the movie have a comparable story?? I think this is the first STARS team??

I don't think so... the only STARS team I remember was the Alpha team with Wesker, Jill, etc, and the Bravo team with uhh Enrico, Forest, Rebecca, etc...
And none of their names matched... and RE0 is about Rebecca and some ex-navy seal on a train and around surrounding areas...
RE the movie was about some big underground umbrella lab, ya?
I think there were just rumors popping up that the movie and RE0 will be similar simply because both of them take place before RE1...

Why wont this topic die!

Because I brought it back.
Isn't the movie called 'Resident Evil: Ground 0'?? I think that's also why some said the game would be based on the movie or the other way round.
Anyway I'm going to see it again when it's in cinema here. This is my friends' kind of movie: weapons, action, adventure, horror and a hot babe. :D
