Disclaimer: Danchastu could in fact be very very wrong. We tend not to bother reading what he writes. We feel confident there are no references to gerbils though.

Take a look at the games everyone wants. Almost all of them are second party games. Nintendo was famous for their first party games but now it seems they're giving companies the rights to make games with their characters while they site back and try to be "innovative" with their other "projects". Their first party games are receiving major disses: Mario, Celda, Luigi, etc. Their 3rd party isn't much greater but still ahead of the first party with companies such as Capcom and Square signed on. People bought GameCube for Nintendo's great first party games and characters. Now they're not even creating the magic...

Hmm.... I never thought bout it but yeah... It does seem that most of the games people want the most are second party games...

:hmm:

Well, I tend to see all of the second party developers as Nintendo. I mean, it't not like the second party companies can take their product which Nintendo "loaned" to them and run away to Mexico, can they? I see first and second party as the same, IMO.

Nintendo is really losing its touch, IMO...right after Zelda: OOT

I think they are just starting to lose it...

There are still games on N64 that I liked after OoT...

This gen, they are re-hashing games that I don't want rehashed, and they are changing games that I want them to keep the same... So at this point, I'm dissapointed in Nintendo.

Nintendo can't rely on the same game and characters for every system they make guys! Give them a chance. The system has not even been out six months and you're already walking out.

What are you talking about? That has been what they are doing since, um, forever. Except for NES. Name a game besides Pikmin that is not the "same game and characters " as another Nintendo SYstem?

Yeah, that is what we thought.

And as far as walking out is concerned, I do not think that anybody here is "walking out". These people are just stating that Nintendo rely's on their second parties.

Well, along with new systems have actually come many new games. Smash Bros, Pikmin, Pokémon, Perfect Dark, 007, Mario Party, Banjo Kazooie, etc. All these games were not featured on the NES or SNES were they?

Hmm witht eh GameCube alone there is PikMin, Doshin (Even though he had a game on the 64DD.. who actually played it), Animal Leader and Animal Forest..sounds like new series to me

The simple fact is Nintendo add more franchises to it's line up with each new system while also trying to appeal to fans of their original.

I mean the SNEs made way for StarFox,PilotWings and Mario Kart.

The n64 was home to Smash Bros, Mario Sports line (I know there was a Tennis game released on the Virtua Boy but see Doshin), PokeMon Stadium, Mario Party, 1080 and WaveRace.

It's rather hard to say Nintendo rests on it's laurels. I mean yes we will have sequels to Mario,Zelda and Metroid on the Cube.

But let's see...

Mario's first real game in 6 years (Everything in between Mario 64 and Mario sunahine are spin offs)
A new Legend of Zelda game .. 2 years after the last

A new Metroid..some what.. 9 years after the last...

And the simple fact is Nintendo brought their second parties to pick up their slack. I mean how the hell do you expect Nintendo to make games that satisfy everyone..And I still believe in some fashion Mario and Zelda remain highly wanted games for the Cube..

More for their games then anything else

Nice one BAB, I agree with you to a certain extent...we all know most of nintendo's games have gone to 2nd parties. Fox, 1080,Metroid..etc...and all Nintendo is doing is making Mario kart, Zelda and Mario?? Come on guys...you know Nintendo is making more games than that...well atleast I would hope so....I think they are just keeping their games to themselves....as usual. But if you don't look at it from that prespective....you could say it is a bit dissapointing but like all things, I guess you have to give it time.

Well Nintendo has tons of stuff up it's sleeve. The simple fact is "no one man is an island" and if it has to live off it's 2nd parties yet it be.

I mean when push comes to shove. Will you care if the games came straight from EAD in Japan or Silicion Knights in Canada? A good game is still a good game and an exclusive game is still an exclusive game.. good or bad..

Hmmmmmmmm well said again....it seem you process some sort of intelligence. :p j/k
But right now it's a dry period for video games( well atleast to me it is) They are a few games that I reall want to play and those should come out in the summer and by that time I should be in NYC baby. BTW those games are Mario Kart ( screw you Justin if you don't like it :p j/k ) , Resident Evil, Eternal Darkness and any other games that interest me that get announced and released by that time. :D

Hmm trust me you don't wanna meet Danny.. he is weird.. really weird.. speaking of people who live here.. what ever happened to Alucard?

And the tourist shop thing isn't dumb, they are located in the ports of the city. You know where people come off planes, boats and all the other good stuff. So they don't know where to go and just buy it from there. They make a killing.
