For a whopping 500 doubloons (I dont care anymore about the temp moderator thing), can anyone prove to me without a doubt with 100% proof that Nintendo trademarked the name Link.
If you can prove to me they did, I will hand over the 500 doubloons ASAP. PLEASE help :)

Hehe, who did you have a bet with?
It's pretty weird.... Link is just a common word. I guess they have the trademark of the name?
And what about Zelda? Zelda is a common name in Japan (and even outside JPN)..

I had a character in CoH called Link OoT and the GM's finally caught up to me (only took about 10-11 months). They said the word Link was trademarked and I couldnt find anywhere by Nintny that it was so I wanted to prove them wrong. So I abused one of you guys with a nice reward since it was somethign I needed to know ASAP. But I got a new name. UpLink OoT :D

Does that mean I can't name a pet Link?

I think you still could, even legally. I'm sure there's many trademarked names (Arthur) that people name their children every day.

You could, because you aren't profiting off of your pets name......
Anyway, the thing to remember is Link is copywriten, not link.
