Well I guess we can confirm that Mario will in fact be in the game. Now to wait until E3.

Certainly looks like a 3D Mario game...Not much else to say here.

Hmm.....Yay for Mario.
For some reason, looking at this reminds me of the Fun filled days of Mario 64.
It makes me want a Revolution.
Damn. Maybe I'll just play Mario Sunshine?

I'll wait for more of an opinion until E3 :D

things I've noticed:
warp pipe in background of first pic
punching blocks in background of first pic
mario in short sleave again? (like sunshine)
Star in pocket....
luigi has "b" button above his head, does that mean he isn't playable, only talk-to-able?

Ok, twas asking around about them. Old and fake. Surfaced around last E3 apparantly according to one source.
Another possibility is that it's the original showing of SMS before it was changed.
I do find it odd we don't know what event this was shown at.
I was about to say, this almost looks a little worse than SMS. But now I'm happy. :D

Well, no palm trees or water pack...which is a good thing. But, seeing a goomba would be more reassuring.
Oh well.....we'll have to wait and see. All I know is, the Mushroom kingdom is superior to tropicalcrapland.

i'd like to see the original MARIO in a next-gen game in 3d.... original levels, pipe warping, punching blocks to get the big flower, the stars, the mushrooms....
Basically the original MARIO for the NES on the Revolution in beautiful polygonal graphics.
I would really like to see that, as it would bring back memories....
"MARIO: REVOLUTION"
no Super mario, no sunshine, no 64, no nothing... the original Mario.
Imagine running around as chibi mario until you get the mushroom upgrade? Tell me you guys don't want to see the first ever Mario in 3d.

I'd like to agree with you, but simply put, I've HAD IT with remakes. It would be an interesting and probably good game, but remaking a game is totally counterintuitive to the idea of a "Revolution." If you want to start a revolution, you need something new and groundbreaking, like the original Mario, but it can't simply be that same Mario.
I'm not saying the basics of Mario need to change at all either. All Mario games have stuck to a formula to a certain point and it works fine, but this game needs to have its own feel and levels.

I'd like a Bowser adventure. Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Yoshi have all had their own games. I think it would be really cool to have a Bowser game.

Any other games coming for DS besides Mario based games?

Nobody know that part yet, besides not ALL the games are Mario based.

Always thought it would be cool to make a story-based (sunshine doesn't count) platformer that takes him back to his roots. Actually start him off in Brooklyn (kinda like in the movie). Bring back the power ups including brand new ones. No backpacks, no timed items. Even allow him to have his trusty hammer. As for the style I really don't care for how Mario looked this gen except for the paper Mario one. I would kill for a cel shaded Mario platform where he looks like paper Mario...or at least until he gets a mushroom.
Anyway...those aren't pics of the new game.
