Since I don't have access to the Survey Says forum, I might as well post it here. I want to know everyonces Choices for the next-generation. Whether it be prediction, false hopes, loyalties or what not.
what do you THINK... you'll be getting this next-gen? It doesn't matter if that'll change when everything is revealed... I just want to know what you guys are wanting at this moment.

If some heavenly figure were to come to me right now, and asked me what next generation console I wanted, I would take the Microsoft system.
I have very high hopes for it, and if history repeates itself, thant he Microsoft system will be the best in the next generation as well. It is simply the most powerful console on the market. It has the best graphics, a harddrive, and the best online support.
I do not want sony's next system. I know this sounds ridiculous, but I think that the playstation stole my video gaming soul. I havn't been enjoying games nearly as much as I used to when I was younger, and I blame sony. I don't know if anyone else feels it, but it just seems like the Playstation and it's games don't have the same soul or passion that the other systems do. It just has a cold, corporate feel about it. It's not fun.
The Xbox, however, has seemed to bring back some of that joy. I have had more fun on my Xbox than any of my other systems, and I just cannot stress enough how much I love the hard drive. I really hope that the next Microsoft system has one.

Revolution but I hold out my opinion until after E3 on the other 2 :)

if I buy one, it would probably be the PS3, because I like Sony, and of the whole backwards compatability (I think/hope) and all.

Well definitely Backwards compatibility..... just means we can sell our PS2's and keep our ps2 games and save some money on the initial purchase of the ps3..... Thats why I like Sony.

I'll buy a Revolution because I can't live with myself if I don't play every Zelda or Mario game that is created, simple as that...
Probably a PS3 as well, to give me the 3rd party games that the Rev won't.

hey where did you come from Germ? I haven't seen you around for awhile... or maybe you've been away from the gaming threads?

Yeah, I'm not posting as much in general and rarely in the the next-generation threads...I just don't keep up with the news as I used to though I still will always like video games.

Nintendo Revolution.
I have a strong intuition that the Revolution will be defined by being released with a revolutionary game that will reaffirm current Nintendo worshippers and convince other gamers to follow Nintendo.
Nintendo Revolution, of course. The only one I know will have great games within 1-2 months of release. Gamecube had Smash Bros and Pikmin.

If I'll get a next-gen console, it will be a Revolution. But I might not even get that...
I think the best choice would be a Revolution AND a PlayStation3. You don't wanna miss out on the action that Nintendo offers you, but you also want your old fashioned games. :)

Im fairly undecided because I don't know enough about any of the consoles, but If I had to pick one right now...
Revolution.

If I had to choose one, it'd be PS3. The massive third party support for Sony outweighs the rest for me, however I will miss not being able to play the next Zelda/Mario/etc. I'm not really interested in the Xbox2 at all right now, they're kind of in the middle. Nintendo promises a revolution and Sony promises third party support, but Microsoft really hasn't done or said anything about their next system that has gotten me excited.

The only one? Demographics on Gamestop and IGN showed that SONY had 80% of all third party support. And it might be true for 1-2 months of release but I project that PS3 will have A LOT more games than any other next-gen console at launch, JUST BECAUSE of the third party support.
And of course the Revolution will have Mario Revolution, Luigi Revolution, Metroid Revolution, and Smash Brothers Revolution....
But you cannot tell me Nintendo is the ONLY ONE that will have great games....lol

Probably PS3 if I had to pick one, just a hair over revolution... But it all depends on what we see when they actually show off the consoles :p I'll probably buy both anyways...
Xbox 2 is up in the air again, I still havn't really tried Xbox (by that I mean I havn't played it for more than like 30 seconds total since it's been out, literally) and I just don't think it's really necesary, if things keep going the way they have been this gen, I'd rather have Sony's and Nintendo's consoles...

good answer, I plan to buy both but Sony's over Nintendo's.....
But still both will grace my TV.
