ah, a thread by crash, who woulda thought to see a poke a sony in it? :p

but anywho, looking at real screens of them both, forza has more detail in some area, but things just dont look right, cars are way to shiny, look like your driving colored mirrors instead of cars.

detail better looking in forza
backgrounds. dependes on the map on both.
cars defently better looking in gt4.

GT4 has better looking cars, and runs at 60fps as opposed to 30.

poor, poor PS2...dominating its competition hardware-wise and software-wise

lock.

perma-ban.

sodomize.

the crap part is... the all powerful xbox can't do 60 fps or HD,

not to mention gt4 has 3 times the cars and twice the tracks

*buys neither*

Meh, if you don't like racing games, you don't get them. I haven't enjoyed many racing games since Rush on the N64, if truth be told.

Looking at Gran Tourismo 4 and Forza (I've seen A LOT of both working at Gamestop - we've got demo reels running on our TV all day) I'd have to say that maybe some of the backgrounds and such look better on Forza. But when you're playing the game and looking at the way the cars are racing, there's just something spooky with how well Sony did in replicating what cars look like when they drive by. And not just thier looks, their movements.

I'm sure that somebody could make higher poly cars, and somehow GT4's would look better because of how Sony makes them interact with their environment better (shadows/reflections in a graphical sense, driving behaviors in an AI sense).

then why the "low GT4 scores" thread in the PS2 forum?

why this thread, with absolutely no interest in the game, just to take a cheap shot at PS2...and then XBox?

It's called trolling, and it's ridiculous.

Crash...arent you like 23 or 24? Grow up already...
