So, yeah. F*ck yeah. F*ck F*cking F*ck yeah!
My parents just bought a new TV. Our old 19-inch JVC TV went bad, for some reason that we still aren't sure about.
At any rate, we bought a 42-inch Panasonic, Plasma TV. It's not a true HDTV I don't think, but we'll be watching it from 11 feet away, so no one will notice. It's 480pi instead of 720, which is why it's not a "true HDTV." That just makes it progressive scan.....but, DVDs are encoded at 480pi I believe, so the TV will still look uber good.
Anyway, the TV kicks ass.
When I was at Circuit City, I also picked up Les Claypool's Purple Onion, and Mastodon's Leviathan.
The Claypool CD is your typical Claypool affair, but unlike Les Claypool and the Holy Mackerel, this CD has talent coming from all directions of the band. The Mastodon CD has the best artwork I have ever seen on any CD's linear notes. It's absolutely awesome. If the music is as good as the artwork is, it will be an excellent music affair.
