On my recent travells to the Yorkshire Dales (last week in fact) we stopped at a motorway service station on the outskirts of Oxford. With half an hour to spare I wandered around and came across the arcade. Nothing really caught my eye, then I saw a game, a game called Police 24/7. (By Konami if I remember rightly)
It's a light gun game, stop the baddies, rescue people. Wow wee I here you say. But thats not all, around you are a series of motion sensors, when you move the screen moves, you can dodge bullets and duck behind all kinds of obstacles, it's just great, it adds a whole new level of interactivity to the game. And they have really though about the obstacles that you hide hehind, at one point I was ducking behind a car door, I stood up very slowly and it actually let me shoot throught the window of the door, a great little effect.
IMO the best arcade game I have ever played. So next time you are at an arcade, be on the lookout for, Police 24/7.
