View Full Version : Angel Light can see through walls, disable objects
http://www.baytoday.ca/content/news/details.asp?c=6657
Troy dreamed the Angel Light would be able to see through walls with window-like efficiency, and then built it with no blueprints, drawings or schematics.
“I turned it on—that was well over a year ago—and it worked and it was really awesome.”
Hurtubise said he could see into the garage behind his lab wall, and read the licence plate on his wife's car and even see the salt on it.
"I almost broke my knuckles three or four times, because it was almost like you could step through the wall," Hurtubise said.
"You could be fooled into believing that you could actually walk through the wall and go touch the car."
.....But a strange thing happened to the car, once it was hit by the Angel Light beam: it stopped working.
Hurtubise returned to his lab and began testing the Angel Light on other electronic items including portable radios, TVs and a microwave over.
“They all stopped working,” Hurtubise said.
He duly reported this to his MIT contacts.
"They said 'Troy, this is unbelievable.'"
If this pans out it will be truly incredible indeed.
I just read on another site that supposedly the light could even disable the electronics of aircrafts 70,000 feet up. Can you imagine being able to take down a plane with a simple beam of light?

That's an awesome byproduct but I'm more fasinated by the ability to see through virtually anything. How far does the concept go? Is it just walls or can we see through safes, boxes, clothes, and maybe even skin? And does this Angel Light have any strange effects on living things?
It is awesome. And I only hope one day some form of it is available to general consumers. This might motivate me to work for the government simply so I can use amazing devices like this.
Then Hurtubise put his hand in the light beam.
“I could see my blood vessels, muscles, everything, like I’d taken an Exacto knife, cut into my skin and peeled it back,” Hurtubise said.

Whaaaat? I don't know if I believe it. Through what would it "see through"? I don't believe it'd make one wall invisible and show the car as if the wall simply were not there. I wonder what he meant by seeing the salt... I wonder what they saw!
Oh the possibilities.

Crazy and mind boggling :eyes: but yet sounds awesome if used right.

i would say it's the same as an x-ray machine, just a lot more powerful probably because it doesn't only use ultra-violet rays. (i think that's what x-rays use, can't remember)

I think x-rays use x-rays, but I might be mistaken.

Why publicize the fact that a beam of light, can take down a plane, or render most of civilization useless?
And yeah, I want to know what it does to living creatures. Like, plants, animals, or Humans. If it can see through a wall, surely, it can see through the human body.

Sounds to me like it must emit some extremely large amounts of high frequency wavelengths of light, which is extrememly deadly to humans.
Thats why his fish died in a minute of being exposed and he got ill after sticking his hand in it.

I'm interested in how it manipulates a mirror. I'm not understanding the physics behind it (and that's obviously intentional on his part) so it's hard to say. It'll be interesting to see how this functions. If he's messing with electromagnetism like his buddies say, then it seems possible he's generating a very focused electromagnetic beam, which drains the electrical energy from anything it passes through (I think it's because it feeds off of it as it goes through).

As it continues to be developed and researched, they'll be able to point the beam at objects and give the object permanent transparency. Invisibility will also become possible. Most likely a tool for the army in ten years and a wearable toy for children in 15-20 years (like Harry Potter's invisibility cloak).

I am interested in seeing how that can be manipulated to be safe, but I think that might be difficult for some time. It sounds like the general idea is to bombard a surface with high-energy rays which distrupts the sub-atomic electromagnetic relation. I don't know much about the topic, but I have read that matter has a strong connection with electromagnetism and that beam must be distrupting that in some way to make it dissapear.
