Wthin the past few hours, somehow the MPAA got court order to permanently shut down the site. Lowkee was the one guy who wasn't afraid of the MPAA and was gonna fight them in court (hence the thing that was in my sig)

But for every site that drops, 2 more come up. So its a matter of time.

Grokster is the last of its kind. :(
Grokster is the last of its kind. :(
huh? no its not, theres tons of em. and better ones then that.
BTW, i'd suggest staying off the kazaa family network. (which grokster is, actualy i didnt even know grokster was still around) Apparently they may be logging all downloads.
preferably i dont use any of them. However Exeem has now dropped cydoor. so will be interesting to see if that starts to gain in popularity now, or if the cydoor hurt its reputation too much.

I've never used Grokster but I know Grokster stuff is bundled into Limewire, which I don't use either.
I've got a great application called Acquisition. (http://www.acquisitionx.com/)

I think that now that eXeem has dropped Cydoor, it'll get more popularity FAST. It's just a matter of when that spark hits where everyone and their grandmother will use it.

It's always unfortunate when this kind of thing happens. Luckily, I wasn't a user of said program.
All my filesharing needs are done with Ares

I still backup my Ares as i did in previous threads. Ares is still the best p2p program out there in my eyes
