F**k Nintendo

I was a huge Gamecube and Nintendo fan. Let see if some of you remember me. Cough....NWOChris, ghettodude(oakwood.....ha?), Deathshand, Crash, Camfu, the old folks.

But the big N is making the same mistake, not enough games. I mean, damn look at X-BOX, it delivers with the same price tag as PS2, damn Nintendo still stuck with them 1st and 2nd party games. I bought X-Box and Cube. But i only play x-box. I'm done with cube already, just waitin' for metroid and Perfect Dark 2. But some of the games for x-Box like, NBA Inside drive, 2K2, Halo and **** is of the hook. Nintendo better get serious. I go into stores and buy gamecube stuff and they ask me if i'm crazy. Why buy Cube? they say, X-Box is tough, they say. PS2 is second, they say? They told me not to buy cube and now i know why?

Well I don't think they will become Sega 2... at least not anytime soon (but y'know that eventually pretty much all companies will fail eventually)...

But I mean, this time in PS2's life, it had a shortage of good games too... but look at NGC coming up pretty soon... Star Fox Adventures... ED... RE1... and then that will lead to Zelda, PD0, mario, RE0, and more... And who knows what will happen at E3 this year? There could be some major announcements that could favor Nintendo... ooorrrr Xbox either way who knows...

Basically just hold yer shorts... there are more good games coming...

Although I don't think either system will catch up with the amount of good games PS2 has ;)

But when it comes to games, Xbox is looking a bit better than I initially thought... although I still think NGC looks better in the long run... So if you're having fun with your Xbox, that's the good thing about having 2 systems... just tuck yer lil' NGC away until the good games come out... :D

Heck, I don't even have my gamecube yet... I'm getting it soon, around the time RE1 remake comes out... so I can get it as my first game... and then try to save up to be able to get SFA and maybe ED for around the time they're released... yep...

I couldn't agree with you more. Of the ten games I have for the cube, 7 are third party. Mario looks and runs like crap according to IGN, zelda is still cel-da, nintendo's beginning year bites. But they will get much better. SFA is going to rock, RE is going to rock, PD, Metroid, and such are going to rock. But for right now, nintendo sux.

I just bought a PS2 today. Because nintendo isn't satisfying me. I am ashamed :( (by the way, I got twisted metal black, and GTA3)

What can I say?... I wish I could just tell you STFU, go play your Xbox with it's plethora of games(as you seem to think it has), and just relax until the Cube games you want finally come out.

Well, I *could* keep it simple and leave it at that(afterall, you didn't went into a whole lot of detail either), but I want to say a bit more...

It's not a perfect world, sometimes you have to be a little patient before you can get what you want. Just because things may be a bit slow right now, is no real reason to throw a fit(expecially for those who own PS2 or Xbox as well). It also is not reason enough to support the statement that "the big N is making the same mistake," especially after it's off to a decent start, and has more antiscipated games coming this year than N64 had in more than half of it's entire lifespan.

Of course, I understand where people are coming from when they complain about not having anything new and exciting to play at the moment, but I won't find myself blowing a fuse over it(and I only have GC... although I have access to other current-gen consoles). I mean, I didn't buy a GC (this early), expecting there to be quality games launching every day/week or something. I'm sorry for those who where expecting that.

Each console has at least one trade-off or another(when it's a software issue, that means it can impove). Considering trade-offs and the tone of your post(specifically the title), one could also say "F**k Sony" or "F**k Microsoft" simply because they don't have the 1st and 2nd party tallent that Nintendo does. They also don't have the franchises like Nintendo. Heck, if it's that easy to write Nitendo off because the games are coming out fast enought(at this point), I suppose it's also fair to write their competitors off for much less subtle reasons. Just a thought.. ;)

It appears that most hardcore gamers(as the majority of us are), bought GameCube MAINLY for the tons of quality exclusive software. Not because those tons of quality exclusives would come pooring like rain, but because they'll come. Not to exclude the wide variety of 3rd-party software that well see in the near future, mind you.

What makes this particular post a bit ridiculous/questionable, is the fact that you DO own an Xbox, and you clearly implied that you play it more, and it has more games(that you seem to enjoy very much). Based on that, then why you can't play your Xbox while you wait for some Cube games? Or is is more fun to bash and condemn Nintendo? It seems to be the trend if you ask me... :(

Rock, looking at your post, you haven't really gone into any detail about anything, expecially not to justify your seemingly intense rage. I think you just need to chill. You have another console right there with your Cube--something that not everyone is fortunate enought to claim--and you claim you are enjoying it. Like i said, i used to be a huge Nintendo fan, used to curse people out unjustly, cough**Deathshand**cough, cause they said bad things about Nintendo. I bought my Cube with great anticipation first with Starwar and then later SSBM, and now i have Pikmin, then i bought X-Box with one game in mind, NBA inside drive. Now it seems that i am renting ang buying and playing X-Box more than Cube. I mean, is this caus ei'm one of them huge a$$ Microsoft fans, no, i loved Nintendo and bought cube first but i am playing X-Box because it is just more fun. And it all basically comes down to that. I know games are coming for Cube, but i have been waiting for Nintendo to blossome, waiting.....waitng.....waiting.... I mean, i have always been tought that first impression is the best impression. And Nintendo is failing to create a great first impression. That is helping them in lacking hype. And hype sells. I know you guys are gonna say hardcore gamers don't need hype, and this and that. But you have to realize that Hardcore gamers and Nintendoholics are an endagered species in the world. Most are average gamers and to them, first impression, hypes mean alot. Nintendo is not gonna win the battle with hardcore buyers only. So they need to get their act togather.

Zelda in it's right form isn't coming out (I don't care what Nintendo fans say, the SNES/NES Link looks more like the N64 link)... The WWF games have lost it's developer, Aki (which made a perfect engine)... Perfect Dark has been changed to third person...

those three games are my most anticipated games for Gamecube, all 3 are exclusive, all 3 are not coming out.... so I can understand if an ex Nintendo fan has nothing to look forward to.... the games they re-hashed are games I didn't exacty want re-hashed (SSB, Waverace), and the games they changed are the games I wanted re-hashed... why couldn't they just make a new game with the new engine or new look...

instead of making Perfect dark 3rd person, make a new game that's third perso, and leave Perfect dark alone... and if they are so interested in toon shading, they should have done it to a brand new game series, and left Zelda the **** alone.

but back on subject...

I've spent near $400 on my GCN, and I only have one game, and this waiting game is pissing me off because with that same money I could have went out and got an Xbox and one game (that is better than the cube one I bought), and I would have been building a library as we speak.

I was expecting one decent game per month... it's been 4 months, and there is only one game I feel is woth a buy... (there IS more than one in all honesty, but if they come out 3 months earlier on Ps2 why wait for the cube version?)

It's not fun to bash and condem Nintendo...

The fact is, Gamecube, out of all the systems, had the most potiental to be great... because on N64 it had the best first party support, and GCN gave it a chance for great third party support... I'll be the first one to tell you that... but Nintendo seems to be in it for the money, and not in it to raise the bar on what a game should be.

Take GBA for example... at the time it was released, there was a lot better and more expensive hardware out, why not use that instead of some pre-snes hardware?

Or the Memory cards... why go with a 500kb card? Simple, they can make about a $10 profit on each card sold, and since there isn't enough memory on each card, they know Gamecube buyers will have at least 10-15 memory cards by the time Gamecube dies.

The Mini DVDs... don't enhance Gameplay in any way... infact, it's a step back from Ps2's and Xbox's disks, so why did they use them? To prevent piracy, which is good and all, but what comes first, making a great game or making a great amount of money? Psx did just fine, and it had no pretection aganst it.

These things, along with a few other things, prove to me that Nintendo is in it just for the $$$ this time around...

I spent $400 on a Cube... I could have spent $400 on Ps2 games... the drought of game on Cube will piss me off no matter how much fun I'm having with other systems, because of the drought of money....

I do not think that what The Rock is saying is stupid. In fact I agree with him, somewhat. I do not think that Nintendo is going to become the Sega 2 any time soon. But, Rock made some good points about Nintendo and its lack of quality games. GCN is crap right now, IMO, but it has a very, very bright future. The Rock is just impatient, you and me are not.

As for all you people who says they don't give a crap about my openion because it has the word F**K in it, well you would say the same thing if you were me. Just ask Deathshand how much of a hardcore Nintendo fan i was. I was so hopefull about GCN that i was gonna buy one and shove it up DH's A$$ (but that was the past, hope you forgive me for all that crap DH, sorry man) But GCN is looking like a fat women's used white panties with white stain on em'.

By the time GCN gets good games, X-Box and PS2 population will exceeding increase over Cube which means more people to play on the net, means Limited amount of people buying GCN.

This is what happens when one sets his expectation highly then possible. I mean I haven't touched my Cube in about a month, but I'm really not complaining. I mean if it was a long vacation period like the summer, I would, but in the middle of the school year a dry period ain't that bad.

As for Perfect Dark, it hasn't been confirmed either way yet. The 3rd person view is a rumor much like the Pd Zero in 2004 which apparently was taken the wrong way.

And the way IGN is hinting at it, seems like there might be a 3rd person Metroid after Prime.

NBA Courtside isn't GCN only basketball game because NBA2K2 and NBA Street are out now........ aren't they? :unsure: The other thing is about Perfect Dark becoming a 3rd person shooter. Street isn't a simulation BBall game... and NBA 2k2 isn't out yet for GCN

I agree... it sucks ass... but it plays better than NBA courtside (the only Bball game for Gamecube at the moment)
